Poor Champion Design

Make no mistake their a lot of poorly designed champion in LoL. When I say I don't mean bad, I mean that these champions will wind up being, if they are not already, balancing issues down the line. The two common traits I've seen that wind up being a problem is: free stats champions, weird interaction champions. From these two issues, we've had champions become disgustingly OP or just break the seemingly delicate balance in the game.

**Examples of Free Stats Champions that will or already are a problem: **

Twitch Built in Attack Speed in Q, and Free AD and range on ult Vayne Free true damage with no counter on W, Free AD on ult Jinx Free Attack Speed on Q Tristana Free range increase overtime KogMaw Free range Increase and bonus damage on W, Free Attack speed from Q Xayah Free attack speed increase from W Ezreal Free attack speed from passive Ashe Free crits from passive Tryndamere Free crit chance from passive

You might notice some other common trait about these champions, I honestly could not find any other champions with free stats built into their kit aside from abilities doing damage. Thoes free stats allow these champions to ignore important stats and items for things like Attack speed, Crit, or even AD and "fill in the holes" of their build which means they scale all the harder. This also means they are prone to becoming balancing nightmares as a result.

Examples of Weird Interaction champions that have either wound being insanely OP or just resulting in hilarious meta shifts:

Ezreal His Q is an ability that is also on-hit resulting in weird interactions with both runes or as well as the old jungle item runeglaive. Chogath After his rework his ult scaled with his max hp and did true damage, he could effectively be immortal with item 3193 and still 1 shot people with his ult. Azir he used to have attack speed that scaled off his CDR allowing him to be crazy strong with item 3115, this got removed after his mini-rework. Fizz For at time, because of the way he scaled AD Fizz and tank Fizz became meta while still allowing him to hit super hard. Kalista has movement that basically scales off attack speed, allowing her passive to trigger more often. Late game is nearly impossible to catch if you're melee. MasterYi Before his rework, Master Yi could be successfully played as AP as his Q scaled off 100% of his AP and his W scaled off 300% allowing him to do crazy burst damage and still be immortal. Thresh Though technically melee, Thresh is actually a ranged character despite the fact he doesn't shoot anything.

Weird interactions don't mean broken, but still it means these champions where made future-proof so they can end up OP or guttered quite by accident.

Its disturbing to me that there are so many poorly designed champions that either wind up broken because of weird effects or flat out just have too much free stuff to ever be remotely balanced. The fact these champions have allowed to remain this way for so long is deeply disturbing to me.

You do realize that champions are made to excel at doing something? If you know how to play against them you'll find they're not so "poorly designed". That's like saying "omg this Soraka has so many heals op" when you're not even buying an item 3123 ...

Thing is about soraka, you can build to counteract her effect. For the listed the champions, that is not an option.

But the point is that some people don't take it upon themselves to actually learn how to play against a champion or learn their weaknesses and what they're vulnerable to. And in effect they just say that the champs are op or that they have no counter play.
