Do people lie about first timing a champ?

Last game I was playing as a cait, and was fighting against another cait. (I hate mirror fights). Right as the game start the cait claims to first time the champ. However played like a regular experienced player that knows how to use cait.

Do people usually lie when they say they first time just to fake out the opponent?

I do it regularly. Its really just to fake out the enemy if they believe it. I dont think there is any real harm in it.

It could cause trust issues with people. not gonna lie, I don't want to bash you for this but It seems a bit....dishonorable?

I started to lose my beliefs when I fought with the player. Hence why I decided to ask this.

I play with silvers usually in normal, and they usually look our team up on op.gg or lolnexus. So they`re just like "yea right".

if some one tells you they are a first time what ever just play like you normally do... unless normal is bad play better.

I did. I'm just asking this cause while playing I gained a realization that this person isn't really playing all "first timer" like.

Eh, not like caitlyn has incredibly complex micro or decision making. If you have played graves you have basically played her assuming you have faced her ~5 times. Could have been first time.

Depends. Not all people lie.
