I think that masteries should be in aram as well.

The screenshot is my progress on my champs so far. So far working on ashe, going to work on anivia next.

I think there would be more enjoyment in arams if masteries were included in it However you don't gain as much mastery as you do in normals. What do you guy's think?

All modes should give points toward champion mastery. Just because it's not on the rift doesn't mean you're not mastering the champion. Shorter game modes should give less points, though.

I Agree to this. Most mastery is earned by your skill on it. The way I notice it so far it grades you by how much kills you pull off and on k/d. I kinda don't like how that is so far. It should also record how long you survive, and how and what kind of jungler monsters and minions you kill.

I mean, I completely agree with having mastery for everything, but you pointed out a problem. They would have to make a new algorithm for the cs portion as people average around 20-80 cs in ARAM

I agree to an extent. The only modes I feel shouldn't give mastery points is custom games (IE ones that aren't matched up) and then certain temporary game modes (Hexakill possibly yes, URF definitely no.)

problem with that is, that aram isnt really balanced. there are certain champions that are simply much stonger than others in this mode and are going to have a high win rate. and for some reason champion mastery points depend more on win or lose than individual performance.

I guess but some champs aren't that great on normals but are fantastic at arams.

such as? the only ones i can think of on the top of my head that are great on aram are ziggs, nid, lux, all of whom are good on normals as well

AP Rengar, full AP on almost any support, AP Udyr, Karthus, Swain, ADC Thresh, Elise.

I can't even think of more but I know there's tons that are consistently great on ARAM but absolutely suck or have an incredibly high skill cap on the rift.

All Day Tay Tay2 votes

most of those are builds, not a champion. his claim is that there are CHAMPIONS that are only good on aram. swain is great in normals. karthus is a niche pick. elise just needs some buffs right now. shes usable but not as good as other picks.

Anybody with great teamfight potential but shit laning phase will do better on average in ARAM, because it's one massive teamfight from the get-go.

Yeah, have ARAM give 50% champ XP.

That's better than nothing for ARAM main ppl.

I was thinking the same about 3's the other day.

Champion Mastery is really a measure of "I like to pick and play this champion a lot."

Earning points in a random pick mode kind of defeats the purpose of that...

GamerGoodies1 votes

Maybe but some people like to play every champ. I like all the champs even though I suck at some of them and need practice. I usually use aram to practice my champ cause It helps on how to handle it on heavy fights.

Personally I'd only like to see it added to 3s, which I'm pretty sure they intend to do soon enough but ARAM... eh.. I dunno. I feel ARAM is just meant to be full on fun and pure random!!! So I'd rather not see the mastery system enabled on it, since I don't really care who I get most of the time there (as I have all 124 champs)

GamerGoodies1 votes

I guess. I dunno I just think aram should earn more into it since it's one of the only other gamemodes that's completely differant.

I think there should be another new gamemode of some kind for league other then 3v3 and aram. Dominion's not even popular anymore from what I was told.

So soon people have 200-2000 points on half their roster. I don't see what's so fun about that tbh

The Ellimiist2 votes

As the gamemode least like the actual game (even less so than dominion) I disagree.

Cerbearus2 votes

Literally 0 balance in ARAM, how exactly can they gauge your skill on the champion?

FaRmErX1 votes

make an ARAM mastery side then. I know a lot of champions very well but I dont play on THE RIFT so i have zero idea how to play on THAT map. doesnt mean i cant master the champion, i just dont know the map

Maratsune1 votes

Considering I primarily play ARAM, but also usually end up playing champs I like/want to gain mastery with, I agree. ARAM should definitely contribute towards champion mastery, even if only a little bit.

SlytherinUmbreon1 votes

It probably will be eventually, Riot's usually slow with updating the other modes.

That would be great but take into account champions on rotation. Personally, I haven't purchased each champion in the game and there are a few I am not interested in getting. Some times in ARAM I do get these champions and can not get rid of them so in cases like that, it would be a complete waste for me to gain points for them. I won't take that champion seriously nor will I be persuaded to buy them soon after.

The following idea might be to just give points to people who have the champion they got but that would just be calling for retaliation from players about "unfair game mechanics" or what have you. And I would agree.

ARAM really doesn't need champion masteries implemented into it. I see it more as a fun game more, one you don't take too seriously. It is also pretty luck based and totally random so that just adds an air of unexpectedness and some games are won more easily than others.
