My thoughts on the new HUD, as a PBE player who is used to the new HUD

Personally, I do like the HUD overall. The old one was not perfect, and the new one offers some advantages over the old one... it just has... issues.

The main issue is that it's too small. Other issues exist, don't get me wrong but if we can make everything bigger then it helps with the spacing issue too, no? Can we not just make things bigger? Like, say make 100 HUD scale 75 HUD scale, maybe less. Hell, make 100 become 50 scale. We don't HAVE to have it at 100, after all. I understand that some of the current assets may not be designed for a larger scale (although I suspect most of them are, even if not the copies currently shipped).

It's just too damn small. This feels like the quickest way (although kind of a hack job) to solve a lot of issues with it. People who like it at its current size (which I do, to a degree but the text is a little small) can leave it as-is, whilst people who find things hard to read can make it larger.

An option to turn off flair animations would be useful to some people (I like the animations; I don't find them distracting at all). Make the stats brought up by C a toggle not something you need to hold down. The MS icon could use better clarity.

The ping button complaint is only a minor issue in my honest opinion and those buttons should not be brought back. Few people used the buttons, it's not a hard thing to press G. Same thing with the scoreboard. Tab is quicker and easier. These things should probably be mentioned in tutorials (if they aren't, it's been a while) and a message (a lá dragon update message) in-game to mention these hot keys (for those who used the buttons) would probably make transitioning easier for them. Locked-camera button, likewise. If you're doing these things with the mice you're not doing it as quickly as you can anyway.
