The "Yasuo Metric" is a way of measuring the state of the game based upon how much people are complaining about Yasuo. The less people complain about Yasuo, the more people hate the game. Whilst there are a few threads about things like positional matchmaking (Which we don't have in non-NA/KR regions, and as such the outrage about is possibly reduced appropriately), most of the hot boards complaints are about Yasuo.

Just a thought.

I mean, doesnt this just mean that any "big problem" is a tier 1 priority while Yasou is tier 2 and has been since like....forever?

Tier 0 is reserved for bonkers insanity like the DKZ (Daniel Z. Klein) incident.

The metric is interesting. But it's important to keep in mind that a crit item rework is on the horizon, and whenever crit is touched, yasuo becomes a topic, so the yasuo metric currently is scewed by upcomeing changes. given that the recent uprise of yasuo threats started with "new phantom dancer on yasuo" related posts, i think most of it is caused by the upcomeing changes and not by haveing less other things to complain about.

It's a good thing. When the game is getting to a level where the champs we hate are weak or we know they are getting nerfed/changed, we go back to complaining about the bane of the game. It's nicely reassuring that people never forget about him.

not really, those were mostly by the same person and their friends, but he still carries a lot of weight..after his 0/10 powerspike of course

his 50% ban rate amost 60% in all regions and around 40% in diamond+ still show that he's beyond hated

if anything, this makes it worse because with him banned, his absurdity is overshadowed by the OTHER issues in the game

I personally have my own theory: Because complaining for hours straight day after day is tiring, the hive must somehow recharge their energy. The best energy source? Hating on Yasuo. It's perfect really, the amount of salt generated from humans reading the posts is enough to fuel them for a good while. Once this process has given them sufficient energy, they rise up and attack whatever was the most recent addition to the game/controversial topic
