I feel that the new masteries would be useless for tank champions

I am calling it right now Tank masteries would be useless and for one more season true tanks would suffer

I mean they say they would have a mastery that make the enemy unit bleed for a portion of your AD or AP this mean that we would see assasins and riven all over the game and tanks to be unable to tank anything special with all that armor nerfs that riot still dosent care to fix...

So yeah one more season where tanks would be useless (And no the 1 month of item 3717 is not "TANKS WHERE GOOD IN SEASON 5) because even then the only "Tanks" who were good was maokai and hecarim...the same tanks we were seeing in every game even before that item because of their kit

Now we only see darius/garen/Fiora/riven and a gnar top lane because full tanks are useless and they would be even more useless with the new masteries

We've got some stuff in there that should be pretty appealing on champions looking for defensive options as well. An example of an end tier mastery from the more defensively focused tree:

"Strength of Ages

Killing a Siege Minion or large monsters increases maximum health by 20 and 8 respectively, up to 250 health. After reaching 250 bonus health, heal for 100 health when a nearby siege minion dies."

No heal on large monster death?

No, intent there's to help out characters in siege or counter siege situations primarily, not to just provide sustain regardless of what you're doing.

So will you heal up when the enemy kills one of your siege minions?

It takes 32 camps to hit the point where you get the heal, by then jungle sustain is basically irrelevant anyway. It wouldn't be used to sustain, it would basically be used to heal a bit of poke.

Well that sound good but what about the items of tanky champions? I know that you people dont want to buff sunfire or FH because of how bruisers may use them but what about some buffs to those items to be better for tanks? (Like sunfire damage to scale with your Armor or your hp or something) and what about that item item 3075 ? that become from a niche item to a noob trap item....

I know that tanks are "Boring" to watch but forcing tanks to be secondary support is sad too!!

And to be honest 250 health mean nothing when a riven can make you bleed for 9 stacks unless if that thing dosent stack and only work one and have a cooldown because if that thing can stack then a riven can apply 9 times and with only 100 AD he can make a target bleed for 9x20=180 extra damage...

Recently played Rammus against a Master Yi. It's indeed a niche item.

Probably in the unpopular opinion, but these "Keystone Masteries" sound really underwhelming... I could be wrong entirely, it's natural to fear change and perhaps that is what this is, I'll have to reserve judgement until I actually see them. What you describe above sounds like it'd be really good on Sion.

Wow thats awesome! I'm really looking forward to the other Tank Keystone Mastery's. What about if an enemy kills a Siege Minion, does that count? I know no one is thinking 250 is alot but that is a ton of bonus HP just for just killing Siege Minions or Large Monsters. I imagine this is going to really help Sion most of all though, SO MUCH BONUS HP!! haha.

Thanks for sharing.

We still haven't seen the whole mastery tier system yet...
