Fiddlesticks buff?

League of Legends patch 7.6

According to this website, is it true they revoked the E buff Fiddle will be getting next week? Because aside from his Q and W, he NEEDS that E buff to be in the meta again aside from Q having more range and W refunding cost. I was really looking forward to the E buff Riot!

They must test buffs like nerfs; they usually put a bunch on the pbe but just ship a couple of them. They must have thought the E would be overboard.

But it's not overboard! Fiddlesticks is one of the lowest played junglers. Despite his Q getting more range and W refunding cost if killing target the E is much deserved and needed. Riot please add it back with the Q and E!!!

It is overboard. Fiddlesticks has a very unique playstyle and will always have a low playrate. If he's FotM there's definitely something wrong with his balance.

I think you're underestimating how much increasing his clear helps him. The sooner Fiddle reaches 6 the sooner he can wreak havoc on the map.

Not sure you're realizing that the E buff would've only been to minions and monsters not champions.

You must be very pessimistic thinking that he will always have a low playrate.

The sooner anyone reaches level 6 the sooner anyone can wreak havoc, Fiddle just gets there occasionally slower than other jgs besides his clear.

Yes, I do realize it was only to monsters and minions. The problem was that it buffed middlesticks and support stix way more than jungle stix. Those two don't need buffs. So, since they only have roughly 3-4 days to change stuff when a Pbe cycle starts they pulled the E buffs and decided only the Q and W buffs were safe to ship.

Fair enough, but even you said and I quote "Fiddlesticks has a very unique playstyle and will always have a low playrate." The E buff would make him more playable no doubt. Riot can always revoke the change if they see it to be too greedy and/or nerf the 75 to 60 if 75 is too much.

No, the E buff would make him oppressive in lane, especially with the silence component. "more playable"=/="free buffed waveclear" Fiddle point clicks E on a minion and he walks away. Lane stix also maxes the ability first, so it makes the problem even worse.

Other champs have been gutted in the past for such a lane interaction: AurelionSol, Taliyah, Leblanc, Ryze, oldMalzahar .

You must really hate Fiddlesticks. It all makes sense now. Oppressive is what he needs. If he maxes that first so what? It's just minions and monsters, bud. That seems to be escaping your mind. Loads of other champs have clears just as powerful as him, maxed ability or not.

Lets wait 'til after this Wednesday then. If he's indeed still "struggling" I'm sure they won't hesitate to help him.

Good deal, friend. Though if I may ask what your beef with Fiddlesticks is?

LostFr0st1 votes

Don't have a beef per-say, just sensitive of overbuffing him because that leads to breaking his legs in subsequent patches and dumpstering him. I bought Fidd back in S4 to use as a support, so I have perspective on his power level there and what would push him over the edge.

Fair enough, though he is getting a rework soon model and gameplay-wise.

I think E buffs would buff jg fid much more than mid or support, since it would lead to quicker clears and faster 6.

And that's just what he needs to be played more often. Thanks for your input!
