/remake is crap

Just played a ranked game where we lost at 38min because we couldn't /remake because we decided to play normally hoping our support that dced on start would come back. But because the enemy top got a first blood against our top, we couldn't /remake. How is that fair? We tried to do the right thing and wait for the guy because he was nice guy in pregame chat, and we got punished for it. Thanks riot. Thanks for nothing.

It's more than the system in place before; which would be nothing. It has to have limitations to reduce or prevent abusing it, not waste too much of the player's time, give some leniency to players that don't intentionally leave but come back quickly etc.

Certainly it can be improved, but in all likelihood Riot intends to do so already. Currently it's doing exactly what it's meant to do, so if you have suggestions on improving it I'd recommend posting that in a constructive manner instead of blaming the current system for performing exactly as intended. It will go much further with Riot and the community that way.

When/if you do make suggestions, make sure you take into consideration abuse scenarios.

How could that be abused when the afk was BEFORE the first blood, by a good 2 min?

Say some one doesn't like the team comp on the enemy team or doesn't want to be on their current team, just have some one they know doesn't mind the lower priority que wait and have them leave on purpose.

And thats such a problem that it justifies people like me being dicked over? I find that hard to believe. If you don't like the team comp in a ranked game you can see it before the game even loads and bail then.

Didn't you just say that you decided to try and wait for the support instead of remaking? Top giving first blood should not have affected that decision.

We decided to play normally instead of waiting in the base. Top got first blood, we couldn't /remake. Riot made it so that first blood against ANY of your team means you can't /remake supposedly to prevent ragequits, but that's total horsesh*t. The dc was BEFORE the first blood, so it makes no damn sense.

Is this a new change? I have definitely had remakes happen after first blood, and have seen other people complaining about it (on the other side of course).

i think rank has different standards than normals

The point is that /remake is supposed to fix games that have already been ruined by a missing player before you even appear on the rift. Once the game has started in earnest (e.g. First Blood), remake is disabled. I'm failing to see how this was an issue; before the /remake system, you would've been forced to play it out whether you chose to or not. You were given a choice this time. You don't get to go back and change your mind just because things went sour shortly after the decision to keep going, though.

/remake doesn't work until you are on the rift so I don't know where your getting this idea that it works before the game even loads. The point is we tried to do the right thing and wait for the player, instead of standing at the base like a bunch of tards for 3 min, because what if the player loads in and you can't /remake? Then you just lost 3 min of cs and your already behind. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

The game doesn't want to show up in match history yet for me to see when he purchased items. My guess would be that he temporarily reconnected, either for enough time (more than 90 seconds with in the first 180) or was connected during the First Blood.

Cavesloth1 votes

If I recall correctly he didn't buy any items till almost 18 min into the match.

That's why you remake the game as soon as you see someone dc'ed. You can't say that remake is crap if you don't use it.

It's just like if I put new brakes on my car, go at 100mph at a U-turn without braking and try to complain about the brakes being shit. Of course they won't do their job if I don't use them!

You can't /remake until 3 min in. So your whole post.... just no

OK now I'm really confused played a regular game same scenario, our support dced (this time it was on purpose) but even though the enemy got first blood we were able to /remake. So why could we not do it in the ranked game, but we could in the regular?
