Honestly, I overall just wish Riot would make Ascension a permanent game mode. Not only does that bring back the Crystal Scar for Hide and Seek but in general it would be nice having a third game mode again. One that didn't have the expectations Summoner's Rift holds and with the ability to actually pick your champion, unlike ARAM. Ascension becoming a permanent game mode would probably be one of the wisest decisions Riot could make.

Ascencion is one of my fav game modes,its all action,no farming,no walking,no long timers,no getting crazy fed,just a good place for people who just want to get in as many fights as possible

I don't get why they stopped doing rotating game modes. Was fun as hell, playing a different mode every weekend. I see no reason why it shouldn't be a permanent thing.

Because it wasn't rotating It was ascension for like 2 months straight then poro king then more ascension.

Will admit I really only cared for all for one and nemesis draft.

Poro king and ascension bored the crap out of me. And I only ever used crystal scar for hide and seek.

Nemisi draft was just hilarious because you'd see champs no one ever played and compositions that were beyond rediculous

All for one was just a stupidity fest without the overbearing pace of urf.

Briefly, for about a month, it was a different mode every week. With blood moon, ARURF, and ascension all in there.

One for All was literally incompatible with the client up until recently.

Nemesis Draft was actually unpopular. Here's the actual quote on it.

TL;DR: We won’t be running a RGM with every patch anymore. We’re going to continue to run the most popular modes, but our main focus will be on creating more new modes to launch alongside events as well as experimenting with older modes.

What is there not to get? They clearly stated why in this article. Whether you agree with their reasoning or not is another thing. Now, I personally don't agree with Riot decision.

I wouldn't mind it being permanent. And considering Riot seemingly doesn't give two shits about Twisted Treeline, it would be a welcome break from game modes on Summoner's Rift.

YES! "Removing" rotation game modes almost ruined League for me as it was a way of taking a break from the main game and rather focus on actually having fun. Seeing ascension pop up in the game mode select screen always made me happy and I would play it for hours and hours without ever getting tired of it.

I really don't understand Riots decision in removing it. The majority of their players love the game mode, and making it a permanent game mode would be one of the best decisions they could ever make right now in my opinion.

Hopefully Riot actually reads this thread and does something about it. If Ascension came back as a permanent game mode I would never stop playing it.

Would be down for Ascension to return as a permanent mode. Offers a vastly different experience than either SR or ARAM as well as being the outright fastest, slobberknock-y mode.

If nothing else Ascension is at least good training for teamfighting/champion combat as that's basically all there is (other than running around the map) and you are always on an even footing when it comes to gold/Exp so fights should in theory most of the time be pretty even (unless one team gets out rotated or something leading to a numbers advantage or having the ascended that is)

fuck nemesis draft, i hated that gamemode, there are much better gamemodes such as acension. although i agree with all for one and i never managed to play black market brawlers so id love to have that back

I for myself like nemesis draft. It fits so well into my personality, i'd just go with the craziest build of the craziest champion always! i even made a smurf dedicated to nunu mid full ap (which had already been a soraka ad top otp account)

... well i WOULD be for this is the didn't completely and forever RUIN the game mode when they making it a TOKEN to pick up rather than on kill. so u could steal it... that took SKILL. i had to know WHEN you could take it safely..

Ascension should be a third option.

It is a great way to simply get into the game, play what you want, and not have to think about anything but brawling.

I personally am not having fun in ARAM ever since the changes made to speed the game mode up. ARAM just feels like the team that got the better random comp wins.

I play normals and ranked, but sometimes I would just like to play my favorite champs without anyone depending on me.

I also made a post sometime ago about random gamemodes. I really hope they get back more often. I couldn't care less about urf and I really miss acension and black market brawlers (as well as almost any other of those random gamemodes). I would love if they would get a blood moon variant for supports. Might create more interest for supports in general. Since I'm not a big fan of normals my options are aram and aram. Those gamemodes were a great mix ^^"

Ascension, Seige and Poro King are missed at this point. ARURF was fine but we've had hardly any of the rotating game modes this year.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes Ascension. It's by far my favorite of the custom game modes. It's also a really good way to get a feel for teamfighting with a new champion.

I do not like Ascension and would much rather Riot spend their resources on more fun modes.

Ascension was full of the same things that makes SR so awful right now. A bloody mess largely devoid of strategic play but brimming with fighters, assassins, and Lucian. I do not enjoy twitch mechanics focused clusterfucks, sorry.

Completely agree. When I play Ascension, I don't even think if I want to play another game or not. I just continue on for endless hours. If I'm playing Summoner's Rift or Aram, im thinking if it's even worth my time. It was nice because they had it during the weekends and not the whole god damn month.
