I've been playing nothing but new Aatrox for 2 days.
Mostly starting Q at lvl 1.
However, you have no sustain with just Q, since its a passive on the E.
If you are vs say a Darius, he goes all in lvl 1, you miss your Q, you may be almost dead by the time you get lvl 2.
I have tried grabbing E to just be safe, and it worked.
It gives you the 20% healing, and with the dash/auto reset, it makes it easy to grab the first few minions safely.

E AA(W)AA(Titanic) Q mid auto to get rid of the aa animation lock from Q. AA Ulti This is the absolute faster way to get an instant 4 stack on Darius for a long time now.

Most top laners nowadays are dumb and go flash ignite, so you can literally tent that lane -> snowball and win
It's just most junglers are too stupid to know how to hold lanes lol
