Can We All Agree The Balance Team Doesn't Know What They're Doing

They wanted to make the games seem like you have more of an impact. Did they achieve this?

They wanted games to have more comebacks. Did they achieve this?

They wanted to lower laning phase damage. Did they achieve this?

They wanted laning phase to last longer. Did they achieve this?

Look at this game currently, has anything changed for the better? In my personal experience, this game has gotten more snowbally and RNG than season 8. I didnt think it was possible, but Riot managed to do it. People now getting 12 damage level 1 with Conqueror, allowing them to 4 auto 100-0 you, Coughs Jax Coughs. Once one tower goes down, you skip right through mid game and are in late game now. Comebacks are achieved by killing people who are doing good, adding more to the RNG element of League. You have just as much impact as the support bursting enemies. Riot failed on all their objectives, are they even playing the game we are? Are they even testing these patches before releasing them? Seriously, what the fuck are you doing?

The balance team hasn't made a positive change in 4 years. It's all been downhill since S5.

That’s the thing, I’m starting to think that they do know exactly what they are doing and just lie/don’t care.

If they keep making illusionary changes often enough it just looks like they are trying.

to be fair they actually accomplished the last one, turrets dont fall till about 13 mins now.

If they were working anywhere else, they would've been fired a long time ago. Absolutely clueless. They made sure dark harvest is picked by anyone but junglers and made sure it could never be properly balanced. Damage is high games are ending before 20 mins now. Turret Plating is simply a way for the enemy team to snowball further. Champions like Caitlyn are in a state of bliss right now. They have successfully F***ed the game. They reduced the Jg XP so junglers must stay in lane to earn enough XP to stay around the same level as their lanes. Added some extra kill gold to players with over 5 deaths. In short, feeders will be so much happier now, it is insane. It almost seems like they have their own little shitty idea of LoL. THE WORST PATCH SINCE THE CRIT CHANGES. (Altho some might agree that this is even worse)

I think this falls under the live design team's domain. Not the balance team. Balance team is mostly only responsible for numbers of champions, items, and such.

The thing is, they see what a great success the Worlds was. And based on that they think the last season was great and the league should continue in that direction.

I don't even recognize this game anymore and I've recently quit/uninstalled the game. I played two games and I could already tell they've broken the game and I will not touch the game until it's fixed or rollback. Because ever step taken forward from here is just another step forward off another ledge and down the hill again. The same hill this game has been rolling down since after S4.

I dont agree at all. Riot has WAY more info about state of balance in the game than we do. OP.gg or whatever popular stat site at the moment does not account for Normal draft or Blind pick, Or any rankings below platinum. we just finished worlds and are going into a preseason where they go wild with balance changes that built up that needed to be done, they wont fuck up worlds after the shitshow that was the juggernaut rework. they also have to be super fucking careful about nerfing/buffing champions now. Do yall remember Olaf? He got super popular and then riot nerfed every single aspect of his kit, his items, base stats. and anything else about him because he spiked in popularity. So they take longer nerfing champions by doing slight nerfs here and there. Yes there IS some that should've been nerfed harder and quicker than they really were (Zoe) But most of them its better for the 1-2 slight nerfs otherwise a champion will get overnerfed and be in a horrible state. I almost feel like some of yall wouldn't even survive the early season 1-3 days when picking Eve was a banable offense, and every 2 weeks a new champion would come out that didnt even work half the time and would suddenly be 1shotting everyone after they got buffed up then their bugs fixed. It was awful, i enjoy the current league atm because i feel more incontrol of my own actions.

They need to just fucking scrap runes reforged and give us the god damn masteries back, hell give us back runes AND masteries and give us the runes for free. They ruined the game in season 8 and they don't want to admit it. They don't want to admit that Runes Reforged was a mistake and keep trying to hotfix it which is doing nothing at all but making the game go downhill faster by trying to change it in the wrong ways instead of just reverting the abomination back to runes and masteries. They killed our freedom and our ability to even go offmeta anymore, they narrowed what is playable even more then any other season.

Their response to teams snowballing was to give them the chance to get about 700 extra gold during the laning phase with turret plating which just ends up snowballing them harder gg 10/10 rito I had hope for this season but it ain't lookin good folks

I dunno, I think the balance team is okay. not perfect. But pretty decent.

Personally I think its the director of the game that is at fault.

It feels the directer of the game whom ever that may be doesn't understand what makes this game fun. They think high numbers and super mobility is what makes LOL fun.

I think the director doesn't really play the game and only watches it. and he knows what he likes to see. Simply the damage meta. It seems like he doesn't like people can walk out of a fight after a long skirmish. He doesn't like tanks being able to tank taking 2 different sources of burst. He doesn't like games that last more than 20+Min.

I'd pay a monthly subscription to League to play a remastered season 3 version of the game. Remastered as in solely visual and sound while retaining everything the game used to be. The game just isn't what it was back then.

Actually, I am reinstating my League account, reinstating the game, and want to offer Riot and its entire balance team an apology. I did not do sufficient research on Marc Merrill and Brandon Beck before posting what I posted before.

I did a good deal of research on Mr. Beck and the founders' personal ethics and now absolutely believe in their ability to continue to produce a compelling game. I urge the community to believe in Riot's mission as well.

Let's face it, people - some of our issues are because we play a lot, we don't always win, and then bad people who play the game say nasty things to us and then we don't have fun, and then it all seems black.

But that's because this is one of the most popular videogames on Earth.

We've all had an unbelievable amount of fun playing it, or we wouldn't be here.

Kudos to Mr. Merrill and Mr. Beck and I will continue to be part of the League community.
