Are you playing Meta champions?

Yes: Then don't worry about how you do in lane, as long as you're csing then you'll be able to outscale all the enemy non-meta champions because you simply do more damage and have more mobility.

No: Then you must stomp your lane, other lanes, and cheese the jungler. As in if your enemy laner isnt 0/5 before 10 minutes, if their tower is still up by 12 minutes, if you havent killed enemy jungler at least 3 times in 15 minutes, ganked mid 2 times in 12 minutes, havent roamed bot 2 times in 10 minutes, then be prepared to fall off and be completely useless all game as you get out damage by an Irelia/Akali/Kaisa/Graves etc.

Sad, but true. If youre playing a non meta champ, you gotta do 10x more work than that of someone playing a meta champion just to have a chance for winning.

"Meta" champions don't mean shit outside of very high elo. Its a very weak excuse for why you cannot climb.

I'm pretty certain that players who are unskilled complained about the meta in every season. It's not only exclusive to season 8. Referring to what The Big Piece said, it's a really bad excuse for why you cannot climb.

I agree with your post for the most part, but unless Akali snowballs she falls off late game.
