Hey guys,
Currently, I own Zed, Talon, and Rengar and was thinking about looking into purchasing a new assassin, esp cuz the new itemization options seem to help them a bit (Duskblade, Runic Echoes, etc.). Anyone have any suggestions/thoughts? The poll includes the pool champs I was deciding from, but other suggestions are welcome :)

Darknixx1 votesIt depends where you are playing the assassin. If you're thinking of some that work well with the new item, I would pick Rengar. He isn't that hard to play and really fun when you learn to play him better. He is especially fun just bursting someone with all that CDR in the late game. The changes to the AD items and additions to help the marksmen, such as Essence Reaver and Rapid Firecannon are really fun on Rengar.

Yeah Rengar is pretty fun, I'm prob gonna start playing him a lot more since the new items came out. I was gonna try an AP mid lane assassin, looks like Diana and Ekko are pretty fun and good Thanks for the feedback :)

Throw out your "Riot" tags are the end all be all as to what a hero is. Diana is as much of an assassin as Akali would be, especially since they're played almost exactly the same in essence.

You don't even give a decent argument for it. You just dismiss it with " WELL RITO SAYS..."
Diana is a very tanky assassin, she isn't close as to what a fighter like Darius or Garen classify as. Again, by that logic, Akali isn't an assassin either, as they play exactly the same way with the exception of Moonfall and Shroud of Shadows. Pale Cascade functions identically to Crescent Slash with the exception that it grants Diana a shield. Crescent Strike in essence functions exactly like Mark of the Assassin. Lunar Rush and Shadow Dance are the exact same skill with the exception that Diana needs to land Crescent Strike to be able to spam it like Akali does.
The differences are so small and slight, at the core they are the exact same hero. You can't compare Xerarth and Jihn at all because they don't even function mechanically the same.
N00B PWN3R1 votesDarius and Garen are juggernauts, a sub-class of the fighter class. Riot said they will update the fighter class champions into fighter, initiator and juggernaut in the future. Regardless where Diana falls in that category, it still doesn't change the fact that she is not an Assassin. I am not here to argue with you, I am here to tell you it is a FACT, Diana is not an Assassin.

LOL guys stop arguing about whether diana is an assassin it's kinda getting irrelevant at this point....
Sorry if I sound salty, I just want to make this thread a more helpful place for new players like me, including anyone who may has similar questions

N00B PWN3R1 votesNo, she doesn't. Assassin has reliable high damage, reliable high mobility/engage and LOW DEFENCE. Diana has high defence and no reliable engage on backline. That is why she is classified as a FIGHTER and not an ASSASSIN. Your delusions don't change facts. 1 shotting people doesn't mean you are an assassin, it means you can 1 shot people. I wish boards had an automatic ignore feature for non-diamond players.

I personally like Zed better as her mana costs can get annoying in the very early game. I actually just bought Ekko a couple days ago so I can't speak to much to him, but she's definitely able to put out a lot more damage in a shorter timeframe than he is.

That's what caught my eye with him when I first played. His evolution points+ "The Hunt Is On!" event which can be triggered because of an enemy rengar or vice versa

People forget about this guy... he is awesome. You can build him a few different ways and he still still really strong.
