??? I think he's actually pretty strong. He can bully half of the current meta top laners, and when he cant, he's a tower farming machine with his Q and then just ports out. I think he's in a fine spot.

Shens q doesnt proc on towers bud

And Shen doesnt have a single winning matchup.

Anyone who says shen is good right now is beyond bronze.

I meant farming under tower for when he's countered.

Also, you probably don't know how to play Shen you can't beat half the top lane metas. With most of them being melee attackers or tanky bruisers, his q% dmg and dodge field makes him very strong.

If you counter him with someone like Jayce, he can easily just farm undertower and farms literally almost as good as irelia then just ults out.

Who can Shen bully pre6 when he's actually forced to be in the lane?: Irelia, Jax, Fiora, Riven, Yasuo, Poppy, Malphite, Ekko, Trynd, and Nasus.

Shens biggest counter is Jax yasuo trynd and irelia.

The fact that you listed them even pre-6 is fucking beyond me.

Seems to me that you think just because Shen can dodge AAs for 1.75 seconds then he immediately counters any AA reliant champ.

Let's just ignore Poppy can cancel Shen's E, leaving him unable to fight back. Or Jax also dodging AAs, which are Shens only real source of damage. Or Yasuo being able to block Shen's Q, which like Poppy, leaves him unable to fight back. Shen also can't fight toe to toe post-6 against most of the champs you mentioned.

Yes, Shen can farm decently well under tower, but no, he can't "just ult out and it's k".

Shens fine RN, giving him buffs is only going to send him back into pro play which results in more nerfs. I'd rather he remain not usable in pro play so that I can play him without having to worry about him getting MORE nerfs.

Pretty much. He isn't top tier, but he's playable. Rather have him how he is now than have him buffed then nerfed even harder later.

Until they find a way to nerf his ult without reworking it, they really can't buff the rest of his kit much.

Exactly. CoC was a decent buff to Shen and put him in what i'd call a B- Tier

For the most part. Grasp is still better for laning phase, but outside of that and later into the game, CoC is always better.

Agreed. I prefer to play for the late game when I play Shen since bot lane is full of ranged supports right now. I just like CoC more than Grasp too so might be a bit biased.

I play Shen when my team all think they can carry and play squishy champs. I have to keep an eye on them while I'm tanky enough to survive top. I normally start with zzrot so my tower doesn't fall when I begin roaming. Next I build into Titan for health and HP damage. Those are core, and after that, I build based on enemy champs. Don't ever buy Sunfire on shen. It's garbage
