When was tank ekko originally started?

yea, Tank Ekko has been a problem since his inception, because why the hell would you play a champ with %HP damage, high amounts of CC and that needs time to proc his passive hits for bonus damage as well as a literal ability that resets your HP bar while doing tons of AOE damage as a damage dealer, when you can get way more mileage out of the kit when you have enough suitability to never die.

It's the same reason Akali got played as a bruiser for years. Why would you play a champ with so much build in sustain and sustained DPS as a straight assassin?

Same with Yasuo.

If you get 100% crit from 2 items and 50% armor pen from your ulti, why build damage when you can build sustain and tankiness on a champ with tons of mobility, free shields and Consistent CC via his tornados and windwall.

Well, looking at his kit it was immediately obvious it will become a thing. You don't need to build any damage when you can stick to any champion for literally forever.

At the end of season 5 tank ekko began to see a lot more play and during preseason 6 and season six his ban rate got up to 88% i think.

on his release. it was way stronger back then. it was really strong as well the second time it was around. right now its much weaker. if you think this is aids. oh trust me you don't want to see the horror it was 6 months ago. oh dear lord he used to dive the back line kill two people and ult outside with out how much damage he used to do.

he had like 90% banrate which is unheard of. I think the only two champions that reached near 90% banrate in 2016 are zed and ekko. when it comes to zed i dont understand because he wasn't even that strong people just disliked him and it got him nerfed for literally no reason.

As others said, right when he was released, Tank Ekko became a thing. But iirc, it started as Cinderhulk Ekko and then Sunfire/Gauntlet Ekko.

Tch, and it's ironic when Tank Ekko mains want to talk about "You should learn how to counter Tank Ekko" after all the ridiculous tanky protection stats they bought on a squishy mobile assassin.
