Buying or Trading skin shards from other players

I think this would be a cool idea.Sona Like for instance, i have the DJ sona skin shard. Cool as it is, the reality is i neither own nor plan to own Sona, as her playstyle dosent suit me. A fellow friend however is a Sona main, and i wish there where i way i could transfer the Shard to his account so he could work towards unlocking it (i can literally unlock it any time as im sitting on 3K orange essense -_- )

Would it be possible for lv 30 friends to "purchase" skin shards of other players using Orange essence? Dj Sona is worth 1083 Orange essence if disenchanted, it would be cool if my friend could pay the disenchating amount in other to take it off my hands, i get the essence like i would, but the shard itself dosent go to waste, and my friend would still need to amass 2950 More essence to unlock it.

I just think it would be nice little way for friends to interact with which shard they get. Another would be to trade a skin shard for another skin shard of the exact same tier.

Could we get some Riot to comment on this matter?

Boy, what I would give to be allowed to Trade Essence at a 1:1 Ratio. I have no need for Blue, but need Orange severely.

I strongly doubt riot would ever do something like this. Creating a secondary market creates the potential for them to lose a lot of sales. It might benefit them some by increased commerce, but it's difficult to guess how much would be gained vs. lost and when it's hard to guess a business will usually err on the side of caution.

@topic as we have this "hextech inventory" riot can create a browser-based inventory to allow us to trade hextech items (not essence - important distinction here) between players similar to a market.

would be set up into sections;

  1. Your inventory (items up for trade will be unusable, and payed out at midnight every day if someone traded)
  2. Looking for x (automatic trade, based on essence amount; ie tier for same tier)
  3. willing to trade x for x (specific trades)
  4. league name (to set up custom trades)

And how would you use this system? You get 5 trade tokens per season, and a chance of 1 in a hextech box. Or you buy them for 7200IP.
