Could we please please please buff Taric's mana regen?

For quite a while, has had the absolute worst mana regen in the game. (among champs that use mana) The reason for this is that two passives ago, he could hit things to restore his mana, so his regen was low to make him use it. It wasn't changed when his passive was, so now he's the only champ that regenerates less than 1 mana per second at level 1, and it's really holding him back as a support.

Edit: Just for reference, gets 4.5 mp5 at level 1 and 11.3 at level 18. Comparisons to a few other common supports:

I absolutely agree. Taric is ~~fabulous~~ truly outrageous and I really want to play him more but his awful mana problems are really frustrating.

I don't disagree with the observations here, though I honestly believe, as an adc main and support secondary, that taric is not in a good place right now. I believe his kit should be next up on the chopping block. He could be a better support than he is now, and this is even more emphasized by the fact that many other supports that fill his role in the game just stand out much better. Yes I am looking at you Leona, Thresh, and Braum....

I don't have any problems with Taric's kit other than his entirely completely utterly useless and nonsensical ultimate. I don't feel like it fits into his kit/lore. I only use it when trying to push tower or picking up a kill if my adc dies. Also if you're playing top Taric. It doesn't really help a whole lot in team fights. I hate it. I love Taric. I would love to support with Taric more often. All he needs is a new ultimate and his feet fixed. Pizza feet not op.

He was given lower mana costs on all of his spells when he changed passives though.

I agree-- his mana consumption really hurts his laning. You can't really go on the offensive since his E takes forever to get to the target, and his W is melee range. So early game, all you can do as Taric is sit by the tower and heal your partner while hoping for your opponents to do something stupid. Then your mana runs out after a few pokes and you're basically SOL.

He is strong in team fights, but his flimsy early game makes people pass him over for other, more flexible supports/tanks.

They're planning on reworking Taric if I recall because his kit is just plain boring an offers little gameplay interaction. Just like with Sona, his aura's do little to make his kit entertaining and it's a pretty linear kit. Until they do, they really oughta increase his mana regen.

Usually, I do need to keep my heal (Q) at a low level, before maxing out at level 18, to get most of my usage of my mana. It is pretty certain that most supports with a heal have high costs in their mana. But then again, taric is such a tank and healer that is feels really uncertain to change his mana regen. Honestly, You'd prefer the chalice of harmony to really help you in lane before you go off and tank the world. Then again, maybe a little bit more mana regen might help taric succeed more in his lane, despite the high mana costs. Leona and Braum have the highest mana regen by supportive standard (but that is not to say with the passive Evelynn tops all other champs).

I'd say, Buff Taric mana regen, but not by a whole lot.
