A Defensive Post for Cho'Gath

Kay, real quick, yes I know that the boards hates him right now because of all the broken stuff he has going for him, but just know, that this champ is still Cho'Gath.

He still has a difficult as all hell Q to land, the nerfs to his W way back when changing it from before cast to after cast silence are still hurting him today, and his lack of mobility is still one of the biggest problems in the game.

People are complaining about this high winrate he has, and yes I agree it is pretty high, he still has a less then 1% pickrate, so he isn't an "Anyone can win with them" champ, like Singed was after the gameplay update. Cho'Gath is strong now after years of being one of the weakest champs in the game.

If I wasn't scared that Riot might ruin him, I would actually say that he needs a VGU type rework, but right now he looks to be in a really nice spot. Champs get buffed and nerfed all the time, and this buff to Cho'Gath is something that he has been needing for so long, because champs in this game are just too mobile now adays, just from stats and items alone.

And with the item combos he has, yes I know they make him one shot any squishy, or just anyone really, as well as prevent anyone from dying, but it gives him a powerful niche to have.

Just, do what you've always done against Cho'Gath. Play Fiora.

I'm tired of all the hate posts towards Chogath because he really isn't all that bad. Yes he can have a strong burst combo that could kill most people, but once his ultimate is over he doesn't really offer much in a team fight besides for his long delay Knock up. Most of his damage is in his Ultimate (And I guess arguably his E now) but his ultimate has a CD and his E is melee range where he is super easy to kite.

He is now what he is suppose to be, a huge tank with a strong but easy to avoid CC and burst that is melee range that if he can get on to you, you probably die but is hard for him to do that. Also with his size in the Mid/Late game, he is practically impossible to miss which while that does help his role of "blocking" skills for your team, it also makes it to where he can't dodge anything which is bad when there is no allies behind you, so you are just taking free damage.

And there is still a decent amount of counters to him and a lot of champions that can do very well into Cho'gath. Other then most champions being able to easily kite him, you also can buy item 3153 item 3022 item 3030 item 3025 item 3151 item 3036 item 3116 item 3071 item 3078 item 3142item 3152 item 3146 Are all items that either give you movement speed to out-run him, a slow to kite him, or damage that can easily shred through him with %health damage.

Also not even mentioning that there is a lot of champions that have strong %health damage in their kits Brand Fiora Vayne that can easily destroy Cho once the game allows them to scale.

Considering that he has been bottom tier and one of the lowest win rate top laners for seasons, I think he can stay at least some what strong for a patch or 2, especially since he is still counter-able.

''just stay out of range'' works great as a ranged champion, not so much as a melee champion

yea, fun to have half of your hp removed right, if not more with stoneplate
