why am i losing 20 lp after going on a 6 game win streeak?? that makes no fuckign sense so now i have 2 win 2 games to go back to promos like wtf how does that even make sense

be happy this isnt world of warcraft... back when i still played and was 2860 rated in my 2s, we won ONE POINT PER WIN, and lost 48 PER LOSS... try that on for size... 1 loss and you need to win 48 games just to recoupe that loss... yea league MMR aint shit compared to that

villain, i lose 22 per game, and get 21 per win in low plat. If your in promos and lose 2 out of the three, you will lose lp for both of those if you fail promos, but if you do 1/2 you will only go down one loss approx

You lose LP based on where your MMR thinks you should be relative to where you are. If you're losing a ton of LP after a win streak then chances are you've been in that particular division for a while, and the win streak was a statistical anomaly. If you had been kicked down a few divisions and then went on a win streak in the direction of your original division, it would not have caused you to lose as much because it is trying to place you back into your appropriate division/skill level/mmr.
