Then im supposed to just sit there for 20+ minutes getting rekt while teamates refuse to surrender or i get punished?? fix your fucking game. If a teamate does that let us fcking exit or remake or do something. happens way to often to just brush off and there is nothing more toxic than being stuck in a 4v5 game in fcking RANKED. Then your system considers it a FAIR game and takes away the same amount of IP as if it were a 5v5. STUPID very POORLY thought out RANKED system RIOT.

He litterally started the game said "you all suck" in chat for no reason then ran straight mid to give first blood and then quit game. There is a chat record of it that should be punishable. If his power went out that would not show the way that this inting a game does

It doesn't do that though. Players are given strikes, after 3 strikes they begin getting punished for AFK / leaving. And either way, this is more a case of inting rather than leaverbuster. The player is due a 14-day ban regardless of their track record with leaving games.

I was understanding Cinead's post as that he personally believed that the Ryze should have been punished more severely, even if currently he should have only received a warning for leaving, and was making a hypothetical to point out why that would be a bad idea

Riot should really implement something like what DOTA does:

After they've been gone for 5 minutes (not counting pause time), they and anyone in their party will be punished, and the game becomes safe to leave (the team still loses rank, but their time isn't wasted).

Riot does not care about leavers. You can basically do anything in the game, as long as you don't trigger their bad word filter. At least that is my observation.

I do the usual int and afk and toxic reporting every single game, and imagine my shock a few weeks ago when I got a message saying a report was successful.

I'm taking that to mean that the THOUSANDS of reports I have filed in the past did nothing.
