So as much as I love getting trundle into picks like kass, fiora, veigar, etc. I really miss when this game mode wasn't 100% luck. Do I have fun in ARURF? Yea sure.... When I get the champ I would have picked in regular urf. I won't go on a rant about ARURF (which I could go on about for a while) but can we expect the actual game type urf to come back this year and if so when?
AR URF. Playing just-for-fun champs was completely unviable in URF with picks because you wouldn't get to do the fun things you thought you would be able to; there were so many people who played broken champs so they could win that if you wanted to play an average-tier champ for fun you would go 0/12 in 15 minutes.
I've also stumbled across champions that are extremely fun to play in AR URF that I never would have thought to try in picks URF. Soraka is extremely fun and a really good champ in URF, which I only discovered when I was given her randomly (Ardent Censer + double bonus AS scaling + global heal = broken utility). I've also found out that Jarvan is a really fun champ to play and I don't even own him. I only got him because he was on the free rotation, but now I'm considering buying him and playing him in normals.
