Why is ARAM always one sided?

I feel like every game i'm in there's there's maokai, shaco, sona, wukong, karthus, etc. and it's never a fair fight, and with maokai's new saplings and ult, you get poked down within a couple minutes.

Yet another reason they should make aram have all champions available.

It's random between their champions, and given people use accounts with limited pools it isn't surprising to see the same champions frequently. The last time I got dragged into playing ARAM a while ago I went up against stuff like Jayce, Nid, Sona, etc for 18 games in a row.

It's something people complained about but Riot's original response was "You only go against 'ARAM accounts' when you have low ARAM MMR" (as in you lose a lot), which from my experience isn't even true. I win pretty often even in ARAM yet I played against alt accounts regularly, because somehow Riot got the idea if you're using alt accounts you'll lose a lot. Even if that were true, that is a poor justification to do nothing because the average player base is going to have a lower MMR anyways; meaning the larger portion of the player base has to deal with these ARAM accounts.

i was told aram doesn't have mmr, but i think it does. in case it does: idk if u know this but low mmr doesnt necessarily mean ur losing a lot it's about WHO you win or lose against. have a lucky win cus someone on their side afkd and that someone was <insert high rank>, great, u just got boosted. have an incurable feeder against a full <insert low elo rank>, great, u just got 'demoted'.

Maokai is really disgusting on aram now :/ Even after the nerfs to his ap ratios, his damage is still overwhelming

In aram you get 1 of 4 teams

1.) Full assassin team: Whenever they even slightly overstep you collapse in on them and take them out fast and retreat before you can get killed 2.) Full poke: Basically an Ezreal, Ryze, and Jayce on the same team means its game over 3.) Full Tank: If you have 3 or more tanks, you can just dive in like you literally don't give a fuck and you'll probably win 4.) Full Shit: Just a team with literally 0 going for it, nothing good or bad about the team and you're gonna get insta-stomped

u do know that kills don't matter more than turrets or the nexus u can get poked down for 25m then push to their nexus for the next 5 u can get 4+ supports, utility (any champ with speed boost can trigger the saplings free of dmg) and cc send a big f u to poke. same for 3+ tanks it's all about team comp and combining abilities. can u imagine a team with 7 knockups in their kit? i had it and it was fun and op a f

Who cares about fair fights? ARAM is about random non stop brawling. So, someone wins, big deal. It's about the experience. Of having your back against the wall and still making that niche snowbal play where you kill their Sona after flashing her ult. Causing your team to collapse without having to deal with all that healing and shielding. And winning the fight and taking a tower. Sure, you're probably going to lose against that Sona. But damn, if it isn't rewarding to shut her down.

And of course ARAM has MMR, if not you'd be stuck with all the bots you saw when you first started playing ARAM.
