WTF is up with kog maw right now? Like holy crap, last game me and leo were dumpstering the kog and it led up to a 60+ cs and 1 assist lead. Fiora tp ganks bot, he gets too assists, ok no problem, I still have drag and the previous numbers over him. I buy an Er, boots, and a dagger. He comes back to lane with a rageblade and he still had the longsword from when he backed previously. I'm like oh this is easy, I just hit a huge power spike with Lucian, plus I'm outfarming him, and its early game kog, theres no way I shouldn't be able to 1v1 him. ....

By the time I get him to half hp I was dead. I executed my combos correctly and everything, I even healed which he didn't have. WTF happened with kog.?! I once again like to emphasize the fact that I'm playing Lucian. LUCIAN, the champ with arguably the 2nd highest early to mid game power spike next to corki. Ive been seeing a lot of kog lately, and he seems like the vayne of season 6, whereupon completing one item (rageblade, or in vaynes case, bork), he becomes a monster.

OHHHH that is the Riot balance and ChampUp team at their best. They allow Xin and champs like Kog on live. It's ok . . . they have nerfs coming in Patch 6.5.

Not saying that Kog isn't over-tuned right now but-

-did you try jumping on him when he had Rageblade fully stacked?

Because if so, that was your problem.

Never ever ever EVER dive Kog when he has Rageblade stacked and W off cooldown. Because he will effortlessly vaporize you. Think of it like fighting Darius. Do you fight Darius when he has his full bleed stack buff? No. Because he'll dunk you. Same deal with Kog.

Kog's weakness is that he has no way of dictating the tempo of a fight. As Lucian, you do. So Kog has to be reactionary. Move in and get him to pop his W before dashing away and waiting for it to wear off. When W is down, Kog is helpless. Play to your strengths, not his.

Kog being over-tuned right now contributes as well.

And I'm saying this as a Kog main as of his first free week waaaaaaay back in open beta. Riot over-buffed his early/mid game.

If he hits lvl 9 with one item the game is over. He'll be able to 1v1 anyone that can't stun him.
