but it's time to also update the number of bans each side gets. This is an old system that has remained unchanged for too long. There was once a time when each side got only 2 bans, and once the total champion pool hit a certain number (It's been so long I dont remember exactly what number of total champs it was), you introduced ban #3 for each side.

With the huge number of champions we have now, it's time to add at least one more ban.

You do realize riot balances mostly on competitive what would happen if each team got 5 bans you know what would happen they ban out everything in a certain tier list let's say adc so they ban out kalista tristana corki jinx vayne and first pick sivir now you are stuck going into a tier below that just to find an adc and heaven forbids if the other team wants to ban out adc too you will be going so far deep where miss fortune and Varus are played as adc not because they are op but they are the only available options left.

Really awesome but what makes the game competitive it will just be a mind game war of who can execute the draft to get more power picks than the opposing team and who will severe the most when all the champions that someone was good at gets banned out for 18 games straight it fucks with competitive integrity. The games is less competitive and comes down to a draft war rather than playing the game.
