riot. is this allowed or bannable? its a gray area

when my team is behind 10 or more kills, which means usually the jungler or mid or someone is extremely fed. i will do the following strategy, not because i am trolling, but because i think the following strategy is effectively the only way to win at that point

i call the strategy the "stand on tower" tactic. here is how the tactic works

if i think it is no longer safe for me to contest CS away from my tower. i will literally stand on my tower. and i will wait for my enemy to push the CS to my tower. and i will only try to CS minions within the safety of my tower

even if my enemy has a strong freeze and he can freeze for 1 or 2 minutes. I will not contest the CS. i will stand on my tower and wait for my enemy to push the wave to me. normally the enemy will get confused and push the wave after 1 minute thinking "where is he"

this is a competitive game. and in a competitive game i want to use the strongest tactics and methods i have to win the game. And i truly believe this is the strongest and often only way to "come back" into the game and win when my team is very far behind.

i have won many games with this "come back tactic". and i believe it is powerful and baits many enemy teams into throwing and tower diving me. i think this come back tactic is my best chance at winning games that seem over

i want to win. i will try my hardest to win no matter what. i dont care about farm, cs, kills, or scores. none of those things matter to me. the ONLY thing i care about is killing the enemy nexus. period. no other things in the game matter to me other than WINNING

and i really believe my "stand on tower" tactic is the tactic with the highest chance of coming back to win games where my team is behind

when i do my tactic i am not trolling. i am trying to win and i am using what i believe is the strongest tactics to win.

i really believe when my team is very behind the strongest way to "come back" into the game is my "stand on tower" tactic. because if i try to get CS far away from my tower the enemy jungler could be nearby and i instantly die because they are so far ahead. and when i die i give the enemy team 300+assist gold AND exp.

but if i stand on my tower i will lose CS. but eventually my enemy will push to me and i can get "some" cs and i dont risk dying and giving my enemy 300+assist gold AND exp

many times when i do my "stand on tower" tactic my team rages at me and screams "9x report this guy pls". however i am not trolling. and i NEVER respond to my team or try to "defend myself" because i know "defending myself" in chat can get me banned. so i literally type nothing

so riot. pls respond. is my "tactic" bannable?

should i walk out into my lane and contest risky cs and risk dying. even when i believe that is NOT the strongest way to play and win the game?

riot. i believe this is a competitive game and i should ALWAYS play the game in the fashion that i believe is MOST POWERFUL and gives me the HIGHEST CHANCE OF WINNING. am i right or wrong in that?

or should i sometimes play in a fashion that i believe is "weak" and gives me a "lower chance of winning" but will make my team have a lower chance of saying "report this guy" ?

Eh, that's not a gray area at all! If you are definitely going to feed if you step up to CS, then by all means step back! You don't necessarily need to stand at the tower, you can walk off to ward or kill a jungle camp or roam to gank, but letting them push so you can CS under tower is standard if it's not safe to do otherwise. There's certainly a point where you're not playing the game when standing back so far so often, but it doesn't sound like you're doing that. Just keep looking for opportunities to get new advantages elsewhere or just deny theirs.

So long as you are actively participating you should be fine. Playing safe and waiting for opponents to push is a normal tactic. You are simply taking it to extremes.

So long as you reply "I am letting them push in to me" to anyone who asks I would say you don't have to worry.

It... can and can't. If you get heavily reported it can look bad if you never reply to your team. That being said it also eliminates the possibility of being reported for negative behavior.

Keep in mind LoL is a team sport and communication is key.

My personal belief is that you should communicate with your team, at the very least reply to comments directed towards you.

Note that this doesn't include people who are being negative/trolling/tilting you. Ask them to please stop, if they don't then mute them.

Just remember that there isn't much point in playing a team game if you are treating your teammates like bots.

Tldr: as long as you are calm and collected speaking is less likely to get you reported than not. Especially when doing things your team doesn't understand.

Keep any conversation short, on topic, and polite and it will be best.

i guess the thing is i would say its near 100% of the time someone "talks to me" i can clearly tell it is "rage". and me defending myself will only make the problem worse

normally when i "say nothing" the person raging at me quickly loses his steam and he focuses on the game

if i "type back" then the person raging at me will want to respond and he will get more mad

so actually. me "typing nothing" is another tactic i have that makes me win more games. i believe it really makes me win more games to type nothing.

i dont blindly judge everything as rage. i judge every case based on the moment and situation. yet i would say almost 100% of cases in ranked where someone "talks to me" i can tell it is rage and the person is raging at me. and in those cases i judge that "typing nothing" is my strongest tactic to win and will give me the highest chance to win the game

because when i type nothing my allies "usually" lose steam and focus on the game. and if they dont "lose steam" then they are so mad where i definitely shouldnt talk to them at all and risk them getting super mad and straight up afk'ing

i would love to talk to my teammates and be nice and friendly. but if i do that to someone raging it only makes them get more mad because they think i am being passive aggressive. and when they get more mad it reduces my chances to win. "typing nothing" increases my chance to win.

sadly nearly 100% of the time someone talks to me in ranked it is a form of rage, not a form of nice friendly teamwork. so i cannot speak back to them. speaking back to them will greatly reduce my chance to actually win the game. and what i care about most is winning.

I understand that viewpoint. I would suggest (as someone who is constantly chatting in game and has never gotten so much as a warning) that if someone asks what you are doing with an attitude between nice/curious and passive aggressive then say "waiting for enemy to push" and say nothing else. If they are being very aggressive about it you can just ignore them.

Just a recommendation from my experience on the least likely way to get reported.

guys pls help me. i dont want account banned

ill bump this tomorrow. riot pls respond and let me know if this is bannable. i dont want account banned

FallenAngel161 votes

i greatly would like a response from riot. i dont want to be banned

i wont spam or anything but ill bump every few days trying to get a riot response. i wont know "for sure" whats bannable until riot responds.

can "never typing" get me banned?

can my "come back tactic" get me banned?

many teams i get seem to think i should be banned and they rage at me and say to 9x report me. i dont "defend myself" because i believe that opens the pandoras box and if i type trying to "defend myself" i could get banned for confronting them.

also i dont believe me "defending myself" against someone thats raging and toxic will do not much good anyway. he will just keep raging at me expecting me to talk more

I think you should try to sit close enough so you can soak XP but that's fine
