every time i see a plant. i facepalm and just feel like quitting

i will never look at a plant use and think "wow that took skill"

these things are NOT fun. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT FUN

so many good changes. but the plants. my god. the plants. i think i might seriously quit league if the plants arent removed withint 3 weeks of hitting live, and i will INSTANTLY come back to league as soon as plants are removed

ill play overwatch or dota as long as these plants stay in league

I will never understand why people think it is impossible to play both. I bought Overwatch pretty much as soon as it was available and enjoy it greatly, but it's more of a side-game whereas League is a main game. You can play both.

Ill give a few reasons

1- the vision plant

The vision plant is retarded. Plain and simple. The whole point of team based games is to use your team mates to gain objectives and priority over said objectives. The vision plant completely destroys the entire concept of vision control. Whats the point of buying wards and placing them in specific spots if all the enemy has to do is walk up and slap a fucking plant and they get vision of an entire area for 5 seconds. You could argue "Just get control of the plant" but have you seen the spawn locations of them? Behind dragon pit in enemy territory where you can easily get pincered, going back there is just asking to get killed immediately.

2- the ziggs plant

It just really shouldn't be there. This also ties back into vision control. If you get attacked in your jungle 2 things happened

You let the enemy take control of that side of your jgle, and the enemy should be rewarded for gaining control
You got caught, which is a WP by the enemy team and a mistake by the player. You shouldn't be able to escape from you making dumb play and not warding because you slapped a plant. If you get caught you deserve to die, unless you outplay and can make a great escape. Getting caught shouldn't be determined by random RNG plants spawning in good positions so that you can be dumb and still get an easy escape.

3- HP plant Being able to gain almost 20% of your HP back is never good, unless its a high CD summoner spell like Heal. Once again this ties back to RNG. A competitive skill based game should never be dictated by random RNG events. If you're in a 40 min teamfight by baron and you almost kill an enemy champ only to have a plant spawn that gives a ton of HP back is a terrible thing to have. Also laners shouldn't be rewarded for getting punished in lane by simply walking into the JGLE and gaining a huge portion of HP for free. It puts whoever has the HP plant on their side of the map at a huge advantage and the enemy laner at a disadvantage because one laner can trade and basically negate the other laners dmg by slapping a plant, thus negating a portion of HP the took from a prior engagement, and add something like a item 3065 into the mix, and you got a recipe for disaster

4- smite buffs removed This is by far the worst one, as a jungler main this jungle is by far the best one I've ever played (Been jgle since s2) and feels crisp and rewarding. Smiting raptors for vision control, krugs for clears, gromp for a shield, wolves for vision of your own jgle as well as the enemies, HP from red, mana from blue, it all felt good. You have so much variety and depending on your playstyle you could impact the game tremendously with the different smite buffs. Taking out smite buffs does no good and replacing them with stupid plants is not a good alternative, I should be able to choose what I want to do with my smite, not forced to play around plants because I have no other alternative.

In general, skill based games should never be dictated by RNG, rather should revolve around skill and good play. These plants not only feel out of place in League, but they also feel unnecessary. This jungle is by far the best. There are so many ways to play around objectives using the various smites and it shouldn't be changed. Riot is making forced changes to try to feel "New" but adding RNG into a mostly skill based game is not a good way to make the game feel fresh and unique, it just makes the game frustrating and unfun.

TL;DR plants suck.

INB4 the league circle jerk crew gives me downvotes cause they hate anyone who goes against league.

To be fair, plants are not a small thing. They are a big deal. A small thing would be a buff or nerf. This is adding more stuff into the jungle.

you are aware of how Dota's jungle works right?

besides the river rune system which is massive RNG on it's own (and when I say massive, I mean "gain invis for 45 seconds until combat vs double your current AD for 45 seconds" level massive),

there's the whole "randomly spawned camps out of a selection" (some of which have hard cc such as the centaurs or have necromancy such as the troll camp)?

if you think that dota will have less rng than league you have another thing coming my friend.

i think, yes. two of them have certain issues like favouring ranged champions.

but thats something that could be fixed. theyre just another environmental factor. my guess is riot wants to make individual games more unique even when people just constantly play the same champions.

so they added the semi random drakes and semi random plants.
