Just a Shower Thought for Ranked

Each patch when you want to play your first ranked game what if players had to spend a set amount of time on the patch notes page and also had to scroll through the patch notes to help with people just playing ranked without being informed of major changes like this previous patch having all the Crit Item changes.

I don't think this is necessary. But I would subscribe to the idea of having a popup the first time we log on after a patch that shows us the items that are changed + any important champion changes (not number changes, just for major skill updates) would help casuals that don't follow up with the patch notes. All this should pop up when we queue for any PVP game the first time after a patch goes live.

I know there are ways to see in in client but some don't bother. And a small pop-up would at least make them be alert of important stuff.

I also think that is a completely viable option.

They do this in Patch Highlights to facebook etc. In-client pop ups would be great!

READ. PATCH. NOTES.

shower thought: do deaf people think your screaming when you yawn*[sg-lux-2]*

Because they don't recognise a yawn from a scream? The muscle movements and facial expressions are totally different.

They have also experienced yawns themselves (I presume) and are familiar with it's concept.

A for effort though. xD I kinda giggled inside

Thats too much imo. Everyone should care for themselves.

It is a team game so I disagree because my teammates effect my game.

Seems like it would solve nothing and only create problems

Frosted Tips1 votes

Can you explain the problem it would create? Like saying it wastes 2 minutes of time is a problem then you label small inconveniences as "problems".

People can't jump into playing a game because they have to keep their client open on the patch notes for no reason. Everytime you log into a different account, time penalty leaving the patch notes open again. If you read them somewhere else beforehand, you're stuck waiting for no reason. You have to update the client for whatever reason, stuck out again. They do a hotfix or bugfix, stuck out again. 2 mins for a million people is over 3 years of time that could've been playing the game every patch. And what would it actually do? Create a few less "Oh I didn't know they buffed that!!!! Hehe XD" in chat?

If they did a hot fix it could just be a quick pop up that you just say ok to and move on. It would help a lot more than they tiny little 2 minutes you have to wait. People consistently ruin games that build wrong all the time and don't learn game to game, but maybe if they read it they would understand. Your calculations for the amount of time it takes up is pointless since it is only the individual that feels the 2 min. effect

Smurfs shouldn't be a thing regardless, so I mean...

Play a video that will go over the patch summary in less than 2 minutes while in Q+champ select?

Have the popup only show when the client is patching. That way, players with multiple accounts don't have to see it multiple times logging in and out because the client has already patched. Since you can't play when patching anyway, it's a good spot for it.
