One of the most outdated and under powered champs currently in the game. Most people run away when they see a big AoE ult like fiddle/mumu/zyra/wukong/... but when people see Kennen ult, they run towards him, knowing they can easily tank his pathetic damage and just kill him.

This champ is very misunderstood. Most people will call you a complete noob if you don't rush zhonyas, not knowing that most of his damage comes not from his ult but from his full combo which requires you to run through the enemies (obviously you can't run while hourglassed).

He has the worst resource in the game. I would rather he was mana rather than running out of energy after only one combo and becoming useless.

He has outdated and pointless balancing nerfs, such as short range on his auto attack and Q, as well as half damage to minions on his E,.

One of the most difficult champs to last hit with because of his super long casting animation.

How many other squishy mages require you to sit on top of your enemy to deal your damage? Oh wait, you should build him tanky right? Oh but then his damage becomes completely ignorable. Lose-lose either way.

I'd like to add also that he hasn't gotten a skin since 2011. :(

I play Kennen a lot and generally do very well, I don't feel he is weak or outdated at all. His energy cost is decent, it's not as bad as Akali's since Kennen gets more energy back than her. If you are having problems then it might either be just bad timing of going in, or just not use to the champion. I rarely have issues with his energy during team fights and his damage is actually insane.

Personally...Always max your W first. No matter what role you are playing Kennen (Top/Mid/ADC/Support) because the bulk of your non ultimate damage and harass is actually from your W and not your Q. Sure the Q damage is nice and allows you to farm with, but as for fighting some one maxing W first just gives you so much more power. Just auto attack minions until your W's passive is up and you have the marked auto attack, and then just Auto attack, Q, W the target and they will be stunned and lose a huge amount of HP.

As for build...Thunderlords Decree obviously (I felt it was like made for him lol..) and start off with Doran's blade since Doran's ring is useless on you, or you could go cloth armor and health potions or boots and potions if you feel you need armor or to dodge skill shots.

This is my general build with Kennen: item 3157 item 3001 item 3285 item 3089 item 3135 item 3020. If you are facing an AD champion in lane then rush Zhonyas, if you are facing an AP champion in lane then rush Abyssal. If you're top lane fighting a tank champion then it'll generally depend on how you feel but usually I would always get Abyssal and Zhonyas as the first 2 items (Unless I'm up against a full AD team..then replace Abyssal for something else...maybe item 3116 if you want.)

Also he is definitely not the hardest champion to last hit with...I'd say Pre-6 Anivia is the hardest to, though I know Karthus's auto attack animation is horrible to but at least he has his Q and gets mana back to make up for it lol.

And about the Full tank thing, I've actually played Full tank Kennen before back in some time in Season 5 and it actually can do surprising damage since you are tanky and wouldn't need Zhonyas since you are already tanky enough etc. But yea...I probably wouldn't do it now in this meta with so many % health champions or options etc.

i play him adc bot lane. and he is amazing. best vayne counter ever except he dont do so well agianst poke champs like sona and cait. but his dmg is still just op and nice. i can proc my stuns without running into them with my passive then w and q. my build goes like this item 3086 item 1037 item 1001 item 3094 item 3031 item 3087 item 3072 item 3006 item 3078 then switch boots with item 3139 and gg the dmg is insane. i literally can oneshot the enemy adc

Kennen is honestly one of the only champions I win as. Plus, I like him the way he is, I just want a new skin for him.
