Thunderloard's Decree

When 8 out of 10 players every game have the same mastery keystone, I think it's time to admit that it is a bit too good. Every position is taking it, adc, mid, sup, top. Every game I see the same thing, everyone has it. And I can't blame them.

It's because people are stupid and don't know how to setup masteries for shit...like the other guy said ali should have windspeakers why he had thunderlord is beyond me but its people who don't know how to play their role and or they just choose to ignore it i understand sometimes its fine to go off meta but this is stupid i only use thunderlords on champs i can get the most use out of it with if I play support i use support masteries so i can play my damn role properly and not be a tryhard looking for kills while looking like reject the whole time

Played vs an Ali last game who had it. When someone like him who should clearly go Windspeaker or Bond of Stone chooses Thunderlord's, there is an issue - however, I think a lot of TL's popularity stems from the fact that 1) it's at the bottom of a tree a lot of champions can/want to invest in, and 2) the other alternatives, except Windspeaker for certain supports and other champions who have specific synergy with certain keystone (such as Yasuo with the cirt one), aren't attractive enough.

yeah it really overshadows the other keystones, i mean, i love the concept of the keystones but they just dont seem balanced, with thunderlords being an overpowered keystone and that one where u get extra hp per siege minion killed is quite underpowered (20 minutes into a game and people have an extra 150 hp) its very lackluster next to a keystone that will rob you of that bonus hp because you were hit 3 times.... meanwhile yas gets garentee heals (on crits) and tanks can steal a good 60 - 130 hp every 4 seconds in combat

basically what im getting at is there are only 5 real choices for keystones (havent mentioned deathfire but yeah, deathfire) the way i see it and when everyone is choosing thunderlords (even over deathfire) it shows how powerful of a keystone it is when compared to most other keystones

Everyone says Thunderlord's shouldn't be nerfed and it won't be. The question is however, how can we make players want to use a different keystone other than Thunderlord's on a champion without making it overpowered?
