Can we stop saying "Crit ADC isn't Viable"

...when it's really just one particular build path to critical that isn't as feasible.

Mainly Infinity Edge rushing. It gives a whopping 80 damage. Also, if you already had item 3086 by the time you get item 3031, You have with just 2 items, a 30% chance to deal 15% of your damage as true damage. That's just with 2 items.

That is viable!

Did you just finish your Zeal item? That inexpensive backend just netted you a total of 60% crit.

Crit ADCs still carry games. But they are now also open up to a world of new possibilities because it requires less slots to reach 100% Critical strike now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that mean 100% Crit costs less gold to buy? I did the math, checked it twice, but all I see is that Itemizing for crit got way less frustrating.

item 3031 + item 3085 + item 3086 = 90% right there.

Finish the second Zeal item for your 100%.

3 items.

Less gold.

More viable.

This is a good: "I have never played an adc, let me explain what you guys are doing wrong"

Ok sure but why6/27/2018, 5:24:29 AM2 votes

All the idiots I see that rush item 3095 on ADC's it's horrible on explains why their winrates all went down

Its not so much they arent viable as much as games end before they become viable. Making them not viable. I think there current build would be healthy if games lasted past 25 minutes.

How are crit ad carries NOT viable hello? were you asleep righting this god awful post? When Riven's conqueror does more true damage, let me repeat MORE true damage than your 4 item crit build im pretty sure crit adcs arent viable. Think about it this way 4 items < a keystone. Really simple

I think we are not considering itemization. Crit build path has changed, but the way it has changed has made it much more efficient for Crit ADCs to build without feeling like they are forgoing power in the early game. It feels much more solid and just as effective over a broad enough timescale.

Critical Marksman are a high threat early game if itemized properly. Here is what I recommend to do as a safe means of getting your crit:

item 1055 item 2003 item 1038 item 1042 item 3086 item 1001 item 1038 item 3046 item 3031 item 3006

If you notice, this is only 3 items, and this Core gives yasuo 100% critical strike rating too.

I feel you should give this path a try as it works for me. If it doesn't work for you, I guess you could always just flame me.

Crit ADCs aren't very good, no, but who cares? Other ADCs are good now, and they're 1-item powerspike ADCs. item 3095 item 3124 item 3153 item 3142 item 3147

I'm not sure why the build path hasn't swapped to rush BT though, BT's been buffed a lot. But I'm not an adc player so eh, idk.

In any case, I do think the real problem is game duration. If you start buffing crit adc's a lot and then realize that amplifying game time by 5-10 minutes drastically buffs their winrate, we'll be back to them being dominating botlane.

except 8.10 was (3400 IE+2600 Completed zeal+2600 Completed Zeal = 8600) with roughly 70 AD + base AD = 140x2.5 = 350 per auto before armor and anything else 8.12 and farther is (3600 IE+2900 Completed zeal+1300 Zeal = 7800) which is roughly 80 +base AD = 150x2= 300 per auto before armor and anything else that's a rough 15% reduction in damage combined that with short game times and base stat nerfs crit ADC are struggling.

The problem with this is stormrazors is bad on champs like cait, tristana, jinx. Late game crit is viable I agree but the problem is they can't get there. Crit ADC have a small 2 item power spike when you complete IE + completed zeal at roughly 20-22 minutes into the game. Games are over before 30 min more often than not and a class that takes 35 min to shine does not really have a place in the game currently without buffs.

The one thing that you didn't state is the difficulty of buying because you pretty much have to back with 1300 gold each time minimum or you are wasting a back. Big money backs are easier later in the game but your first back you need to buy a BF sword. After that you run into a problem of inventory slots in mid game being unable to be used. At 15-20 min in the game you have usually a Dorans blade, refillable pot, completed boots, BF, Zeal, control ward. Now you have to out right buy a BF or Zeal to make it worth buying over a control ward. Brawlers glove is too much money for what it gives and a dagger isn't nearly as good as a control ward. You can solve this buy just making a long sword building into a BF to ease the pain a bit.
