Noob strategies that raise curious questions

Milodic Mellodi··1 votes·331 views
  1. Is it actually possible to successfully Jungle without Smite, with or without leashing? If so, who can do this and what Summoner Spell should they take as replacement?
  2. Can a good Yasuo play as ADC with the right support, or does his predicable kit and lack of range cause him to fail without question?
  3. Can Support-class Champions -- except Soraka and Sona, because they actually can't -- play Jungle? (I don't mean Champs you can have as a Support, I mean champs actually classified by Riot as being Support)
  4. Is it a valid strategy to sometimes have multiple UNIQUE-effect items, like Infinity Edge or -- dare I say it -- Trinity Force? This one is actually a valid question, because this has approved by most people back in Season 5 but I haven't seen it since.

These are questions. Questions are good. These questions totally haven't been making me rue the day I ever haven't dodged a match that I get Teemo as my support. You should answer these questions. Answering questions is good. Answering questions makes you feel good and totally isn't a waste of your time. Good job! ( ^o^ )/

  1. Yes. A lot of champs can do it with right rune setup. But u will always lose objectives if contested. Also you will fall behind in xp.

  2. Yes. But not against all bot lane comps

  3. Any champ can jungle. Even Sona and Soraka. But early game will be hell

  4. IE is fine. Triforce not so much. Triforce power is in its unique effects. IE still has massive AD and 20% crit

1; Only the highest sustain and/or fastest waveclear champions can jungle without smite with any efficiency. A lot of them will only go in their jungles for the buffs and spend the rest of their time looking for kills. Would recommend trying with TP instead of Smite, for surprise split pushes and teamfights.

2; Yes and no. Depends on AGAINST whom almost more than WITH whom you play the botlane Yasuo. Face a Caitlyn+Janna combo with Yasuo in botlane why don't you. On the other hand, against a Vayne+Soraka for instance, there's way more room to play. I dabble with offmeta all the time, and i found Yasuo ADC+ Kalista support to be an obnoxiously effective combo against short range ADCs and tanky supports.

3; Alistar, Braum, Leona, Janna can, those i'm sure of. Bard can also pull off some cool stunts.

4; I personally never did, because there's pretty much always a second option that'll beat a doubled down item. Might work for some items for all i know though.

Oh right, I forgot about Bard. He's actually pretty awesome at Jungle, I've played there as him occasionally.

  1. Ivern and possibly nunu, riot has made the jungle sort of smite dependent now so its really hard to pull off. Take TP on them as it will let them do some cheesy invades and can perform some TP ganks incase your team needs your heal.

  2. Yeah u could probably find a way to make yas adc work but it will require a duo and really good knowledge and becomes way more easy to punish a yasuo adc the higher u go up in ELO.

  3. TahmKench Ivern Nunu Fiddlesticks possibly Alistar and try Bard if you're feeling that little bit cheeky

  4. Nowadays not really sorry, back in season 5 though i use to build double phantom dancers but now items are too unique to get doubles of as its not gold efficient and a waste of the stats and passives u gain.

  1. Since this is gameplay and bronze the people saying yes to 1 probably have never jungled or haven't done it outside of silver, having smite is required in a game where the people actually know what they're doing

  2. it's called kill lane bot, if you're going say a yasuo / rengar or some double fighter comp, with the right supp you can make it work...but you have to be pretty good IMO, even crappy adcs can exploit your range weakness.

  3. you can jungle whatever you want if you can make it work, but if you're trying to learn jungle you absolutely will just be making your own life hell, and the life of your teammates hell by deviating from the meta

  4. there's usually no reason to get 2 of the same item, for example if you wanted 2 IE's why not get IE / ER and get 30% CDR and mana sustain as well? there's usually no reason to stack any items because the passives don't stack, and there's enough items that are good and worth it to buy to not double up and gain nothing from the passive

  1. Smite isn't just about efficiently clearing the jungle, it's also about objective control. Not having smite on your team puts all dragons and barons up for grabs even when properly set up, and expect to randomly lose a bunch of jungle camps as well.

  2. In addition too what others have said: Watch Yassuo's youtube videos if you're curious. He's made it work, and I'm sure plenty of other experienced Yas players have as well. I'd say that it takes a very high skill level with the champ, though, since obviously bot lane tends to be ranged-heavy.

  3. Junglers gotta be able to clear camps. Some kits aren't built for that.

  4. I can't imagine a good reason why you'd do that.
