6.4 PBE. Xin Zhao getting nerfed to the ground as usual. The new Warlord's Bloodlust sucks ass.

I knew it was too good to last. In 6.3, Riot finally gives a decent and much needed buff to Xin Zhao (who was consecutively nerfed fourteen times before). 75% increased damage every third hit is a 25% increase in dps. Cool, I honestly think he needed it, since he was being outclassed by basically all of the other Devourer jungle champions.

But due to outcry from a lot of players who apparently don't know how to deny Xin Zhao his late game, in 6.4, he is being nerfed to the ground again.

In the next patch, his heal is being gutted from a .7 AP ratio to .4 AP ratio. Goodbye, 21.6 heal from Guinsoo's Rageblade AP. Goodbye 24 base heal from Hextech Gunblade AP. That's 43% less healing.

But the horror doesn't stop there, they're also gutting his attack speed by 50%. For an auto-attack reliant champion, that's basically an entire 50% decrease in dps. - 20% attack speed from his heavily nerfed W and - 30% attack speed from the useless new Warlord's Bloodlust. That's literally an entire item's worth of attack speed now completely gone from Xin Zhao.

The end result of just two weeks is basically a 25% decrease in dps and 43% less heal for Xin Zhao from patch 6.2 . Congratulations Riot, you did it again. God knows you should once again heavily nerf one of the already most nerfed junglers in the game.

The last one about the new Warlord's Bloodlust is what's seriously pissing me off though. They removed the crit interaction on Warlord's Bloodlust. They removed the attack speed. They nerfed the lifesteal to hilariously useless levels. To get to 20% lifesteal from this new Warlord's Bloodlust, you have to be at 80% missing health. At that heath percentage, literally one basic attack from anyone with a Duskblade of Draktharr will kill you. Not to mention all the damn Execute abilities in the game that would delete you off the face of the map. What good is lifesteal if you get deleted before you can make use of it?

What's the game plan, here? Does Riot seriously love Thunderlord's Decree so much that not only do they not nerf it, they heavily nerf the other keystones too?

Here's a hint for you: No matter what they nerf him for... It's Xin. He's been this good forever and nobody here decided to even try and play him to find out what he can do. Prior to the new items I've played him and he was perfectly fine. So before you go off crying about how this nerf is gonna hurt him.. Think again. He's always been strong. Always.

He hasn't been good since around 2011, after a few nerfs from Release XIn Zhao. He was average, he was balanced. But Riot doesn't seem to know when to stop. They continued nerfing him patch after patch after patch after patch. He was borderline weak. He had pathetic AD Ratios. His ULT's base damage is a measly 275 at full rank. He in fact did less damage with his other skills at 5 ranks than most champions do with their skills at 2 ranks, leading to a bad late game. As a jungler, I had no reason to choose Xin Zhao, since basically all other Devourer junglers except maybe Aatrox outclassed him. I still played him, but only because I like him. I'm not blind to his faults though. Playing against Xin Zhao, I knew how to counterplay him pretty easily to survive his early game, and with Randuins, Frozen Heart, and Thornmail, I shut him down completely in late game, Devourer, Rageblade, whatever he had.

After 6.3, he became quite a bit more viable. They added a .2 Bonus AD Ratio, which was some small but much needed additional healing that let him snowball more easily and kept him relevant in the late game. The crit was basically a 25% increase in DPS. Cool, he's harder to shutdown now. The same items still do keep him at bay though.

After this most recent patch, he WEAKER in 6.4 than he was even before the buff in 6.3. Literally, the only thing keeping him alive is the fact that he's about as simple a champion as you can get.

I kidna agree the nerf was to a tad bit rough, but it was the right direction, just too strong of a nerf.. maybe riot should relook at the numbers

So now you know how Hecarim players feel when 99% of his changes were nerfs.

About Warlord's Bloodlust, it has no 2 second cooldown anymore, so the lifesteal works on every hit you make (no matter if it's a critical hit or not) I think it's more like a buff then a nerf considering that you hit 3-4 in two seconds so it's around 40% lifesteal instead of 25%, but ofcourse you lost the attack speed buff which is kinda bad, still I see it as a buff, Xin Zhao was too strong these days anyway :)

Dafuq you talking about, he had a 47% winrate before the buff. He had a 54% after the buff. He now has a 44% win rate in 6.4

His kit has tons of damage and his base stats are quite high... This year's items make him a menace. Even a braindead blind chicken can play this guy and carry its team to victory.

After patch 6.4, his win rate plummeted to 44% from 54%.
