just happened to me yesterday. all day playing on 26 ping, then halfway through a game (consequently the last game of the day xd), ping spiked up to 250 and wildly fluctuated ±150
Sometimes, shit just happens. It is an unfortunate fact of life, you can't predict that you'll just randomly start lagging in a game if it is your first game of the day, or if you haven't lagged up to that point. I think you're over-reacting.
