This is just more damage being added by the balance team...
I...
Well lets look at the history a bit first...
Back in season 5, patch 5.9 they said this:
#Riot Annie
Annie's basic attack range is shorter.
For a bear-toting powder keg of midlane murder, Annie's ranges have always made it difficult to interact. Though her attack range is still above average, keeping it in-line with her spells helps opponents skirt the dangerous line between 'On-Fire' and 'about to be'.
General ATTACK RANGE 625 ⇒ 575
Now, in the 8.17 patch:
#Riot Annie
Attack range increased.
Right now, Annie doesn't really have gameplay outside of dumping all of her spells at once. Returning to her longer attack range lets her trade and harass with autos as an alternate pattern of aggression.
ATTACK RANGE 575 ⇒ 625
Now I call this "alternate aggression" bullshit, and feel safe saying that it will be in ADDITION to her, how did they put it... "dumping all of her spells at once."
An increased AA range will have her farming more safely, getting more free AA on her opponents, and when she is ready she will
and dump her kit on her opponents face. The extra gold she gains from farming while being "difficult to interact" with will just make her "dumping all of her spells at once" more frustrating to deal with.
She is already very annoying to deal with as a support, this nonsense "alternate" aggression buff will just make her even more crap to have to deal with there. Annie may have some problems, but most of that probably has to do with League of Mobility. All of that aside, I honestly think I take the most exception to the, not even trying, level of patch notes explanation of "alternate" when its just extra harass. Annie rarely chooses to poke, mostly its an all in.
Whatever, theyre buffing assassins and bruisers for Worlds, no point in calling them out, everyone can see the nonsense.
