I do a thing sometimes... some people hate it, some people love it... after I play it.

So that thing I do... This is pretty much for normals, just fyi. So pretty much just for entertainment purposes.

It isnt the best thing. For the most part Id recommend against it. Its both off meta and I mean WAAAaayyy off.

(angry voices: Tell us the thing!!! grumble grumble....)

OK, sorry for dragging it out. Its Teemo support.

Yeah, I know, downvote, laugh, move on.... but wait. Just let me talk about it a bit before you rage (as many people in the lobbies do) at me.

Why tho bro?

I find it fun. I like playing off meta stuff. I like playing damage overtime characters, and Singed support is a thing I do from time to time but Teemo support is actually fun, and Brand support gets old after a while.

Whats it like?

Its kinda like Brand support in that you contribute to the damage of the lane. You poke with your Q and auto. Shrooms are a nightmare and reduce all ganks on your lane by 50-100% while also working like wards that last 5 minutes.

Interesting, so a Teemo player can support?

Maybe, but you play it differently. According to OP.GG the popular Teemo skill order starts E, Q, W, max E first then Q second. When I support I max Q first, E second, and W last. 2v2 lane dynamics are considerably different than top lane, may not know how to maintain vision as a support.

OK tell me more.

Talk about runes a bit also. I run this with Dark Harvest. This provides unlimited scaling, and helps zone people in lane that dont want me to get even more devastating poke on them. Many Teemo tops go Electrocute, its more practical considering income. Dark Harvest cant get more procs from support cause you can kill, reset, and get another on the other laner... and of course the zoning.

So any Teemo player knows auto, Q, auto is the bread and butter trade. Its a lot of damage in a short delivery time.

At level 5 with a item 3098 the numbers look like this for the aa, Q, aa:

aa | 63 + 10 + 6 + 18 Q | 170 + 16 + 18 aa | 63 + 10 + 6 + 18 DoT | 34 + 14

Teemo dose 63 damage with his aa at level 5. One skill point in E does 10 damage on hit another 6 from the AP scaling with 20 AP from Frost Fang, and 18 bonus damage from Frost Fang on hit effect. Q with 3 sill points does 170 base, 16 scaling with 20 AP, 18 on hit from Frost Fang. Another AA, see above. Im only counting the DoT from E once, even though it would probably tick for a second before being reapplied by the second aa. It comes up to 34 base, and 14 from 20 AP scaling.

So this comes up to 446‬ per-mitigation damage. (also I may Dark Harvest them)

Now anyone still reading this who plays ADC is thinking "throw in an ignite and...." probably just got dead or forced out of lane.

Thats the level 5 power spike I play for, but its not like its flowers and candy up till level 5. Teemo Q is a point and click nuke with 680 range (30 more than Caitlyn auto). The difference between top and sup Teemo is... I dont have anything better to do than to poke the hell out of people and try to make them miss last hits on cannon minions.

Can a top Teemo player just move over and play support? A good one probably can. The skill order for me is different, and honestly the point and click poke at an unfair range advantage is what makes it work at all. Of course a 2v2 lane is much different than a 1v1. Ive seen many a player take their best champs to a 2v2 lane and get destroyed because the flow is much different.

Now all that said, I RARELY do it in ranked. Mostly cause even when its a favorable matchup where it would be good against the ADC, support, and jg. The fragile emotions of the average player would have them flashing under enemy turret to feed just to get to the surrender vote faster out of insta tilt. So its not worth it.

Things it works well against, or "good matchups." Ezreal and Draven are two standout marksmen that Teemo sup can work against.

Ez is very dodgy, but he cant blink away from a point and click poke. He also cant farm with Q alone, so he will eat a fair bit of Qs to the face. Draven lives and dies by his ability to win slugging matches with other marksmen. This causes him to suffer if he gets blinded and all of a sudden misses 2 autos in the middle of a trade. Because you often know where Draven will be cause of the axe catch indicator, it makes it easier to position for and time a blinding dart.

It depends on the supports, but those two tend to struggle against me.

Vayne, Cait, Tristana, Jinx are a bit more of a skill matchup. Strong against Vayne early, but her stealth and chase power will become a major threat after she has items. Cait has almost as much range, and can often get an auto off on you before the cast time/animation of your Q go off, traps are a hassle. Tristana can get blinded and still all in you after it wears off but before it cools down. Jinx rockets are longer range, see Cait, and her chompers are a hassle.

Sivir and Jhin are bad matchups. Sivir, a good one, can both predict and properly time the spell-shield for the Q. Her ability to run you down is better than your ability to run away. Jhin can both Q, then W you while waiting for the blind to end, then trade back. His E is a hassle.

I could go on. I just wanted to entertain a few people with the concept of Teemo support. Many people are pleasently supprised after the match. Keep in mind I am playing support Teemo, not Teemo in the support spot. Im warding, not taking farm, trying to let the team take kills (as long as I get my Dark Harvest!!!). After that, people soften to the concept, often throwing an honor my way just cause it was fun and different to experience.

So... Teemo support, that thing I do... its trash, dont play it, but, I hope you enjoyed reading about the concept. Have a nice day, and watch where you step :)
