any assassin with a tank build is fucking disgusting

except ad assassins. its really more of a. any melee ap assassin. akali fizz and ekko. for the most part they have too much built in damage while ad assassins use auto attacks a lot and with no ad = no damage. also you don't make use of armor pen unless you go all in on it and a little magic pen and ap goes a long way. it just doesn't work on ad. but on ap its magic. because ad champs are generally a tiny bit tankier and ap have a little too much stuffed damage so they can buy 1-2 defensive items and still deal reasonable damage. also weird things like damage amps and %health damage and low cooldown gameclosers and being too sticky.
