Can someone who actually plays jungle tell me why this doesn't work? Renekton seems really strong with red smite+warrior into black cleaver and tank. You have the early strength to bully any of the meta junglers and a double dash and stun makes ganks really strong.
The only reason I've heard is that renekton's early strength is wasted on jg creeps but this doesn't seem like a problem to me since if top isn't picking it then how's it a waste?

I'm still not seeing why renekton jg is considered weak compared to kha'zix or rengar who are both ad casters with as many or less dashes, cc abilities, sustain, and early damage.
Thanks for the response, you have a good point about him being a caster and I have yet to try for runes but attack speed seems ok for now.

might be the strongest Warrior is great for CDR but I think getting the clears faster to be in fights seems more important early, and building a BC at some point outshines warrior anyways. I could be totally wrong though :p
SnakDatSmilesBak1 votesI don't think Renekton needs the tiamat items anymore since he can cancel the self stun on w with his q. Cinderhulk is a good idea, I'll try that out for sure. And as for red vs blue smite i like red because I'm using attack speed runes right now. I'm not sure but I think that his w applies the on hit damage multiple times. And yeah your point about them having lower cooldowns is a good one, but renekton usually goes two damage items or he falls off way too hard. With your cinderhulk build you would have to build the tiamat item plus another or risk being just a stun bot. That's why I take warrior.
Overall I think if the team needs a bruiser Renekton jg is a viable pick but there are better picks I suppose. Vi comes to mind as someone who has better ganks and similar damage early on, however with less sustain.

And the only reason for the taimat items is if they are rushed they would help him clear by so much. Making his autos mini Q's. It might not be needed though and then the

Rewt2 votesJungle camps can fuck you up pretty hard since they have a ton more HP. In lane renekton can go in and burst a champ, but that same damage is only 1/4 of a buffs HP. Renekton is all about burst. Not sustained damage. This is why most junglers have really good sustain damage while a lot of laners have good burst. Now there are the outliers in both fields but most burst junglers still have some form of sustained damage. Renekton just blows his load and sits there autoing for 10 seconds while his abilities are down.
SnakDatSmilesBak1 votesRight, this is what I found when I used my top runes to jg but with a full attack speed page (ofc with armor and some mr) this problem goes away. An added bonus is that your fury regenerates quickly and spamming empowered q keeps you healthy.
