Malzahar still needs a nerf on his voidlings

Recently I had gone Ryze mid vs. a Katarina (Was a very quiet laning phase actually, she made 2 roams bot and didn't get an assist or kill), and the enemy jungler was malzahar. At around 4:20 in the match, I was solo lane by my self, and I wonder where katarina went. At this point thinking afk. Ten seconds later, the enemy team has slain the dragon. A level 2 katarina and malzahar took a dragon, note an infernal dragon, @ 4:30, and neither of them had taken any damage. I guess his passive change was needed, but his voidlings still need to be nerfed. Maybe like a maximum voidling amount at early levels? Anyone else have any thoughts about this?
