Short, succinct explanation for lack of Supports

Vast majority of people don't want to play support for 2 reasons:

  1. Community is toxic as hell
  2. Below Plat, teamwork is practically non-existent

That's it. Period. Support is the one role whose whole PURPOSE is "help the team", you SUPPORT other players. When you hate those players (because the community is toxic) and they don't work AS a team (because there is no teamwork), you don't want to play a role explicitly defined as a "team" role.

Another problem (well had a real long brake but don't think it has changed much) Support is @duo lane ... if you don't harmonize with our adc its almost impossible to get him fed.

3 - We get no recognition.

You do a really good play and get a triple kill for your Yasuo? "GJ Yasuo, nice carry". Fuck up a small play? "Omg support noob, report pls support doing nothing".

I like playing support because, I know, when we win a team fight it was mostly because of me...Whether you get any credit for it or not.

"Quadra-kill!"..."Wow! gj!", "nice quad"...but I know it was all me :)

  1. With a gold starved low level champion the amount of mistakes you can make is smaller, and you can't brute force your way once your utility has been used like a good Malphite or toplane fighter who might still bring a lot of utility ( Think Nautilus or the above mentioned Malphite).
