RADICAL suggestion regarding Dynamic Queue
As a disclaimer, I want to note that I'm aware that this is a CRAZY suggestion, but if you're going to read it, please give it a real moment's thought before "that's dumb".
What if, for Dynamic Queue, 4-man premades (and ONLY 4-man premades) were matched against other 4-man teams, with no 5th player on EITHER team? To explain. It's fairly simple (in theory) to match 2+3 v 2+3 or some variation of solos and trio/duos, but keeping the counts consistent. Likewise, it's straightforward to keep 5v5 like before Dynamic Queue. But the 4s are the tough one, since you always need a solo in there to make it work. But what if you always matched 4s with each other and just dumped the last person. Teams would see they only had 4 in champ select and could realign their summoners and champ selections accordingly.
On the surface, I admit that seems insane. But an interesting question is how the games would go. Would we see an entirely new meta develop if there was a good number of games that were only 4v4? Would 4-man teams work harder (or wait longer) in order to get a 5th man to not play 4v4? Would people PREFER 4-man games?
Bottom line, you can't give solos a "meaningful" experience in Dynamic Queue without dealing with 4-man teams (since that's the one that always NEEDS a solo add-on) so why no break them out separate? (Another option would be to just "bot" the 5th, but 4-man games would be more interesting in comparison, although it might make for interesting strategy to let certain players feed on the bot)
