Should Sona be allowed in ARAM?

I understand that it would be crazy to try and balance each champ for ARAM, but it seems like Sona is just way too strong. She has been hovering close to 70% win rate for ages. And no, I am not coming on here because I just played vs her and tilted. I just played a game as her, and it was tilting how dumb it was. I was second damage overall on the team, and then I also healed for almost as much as the other teams top DPS and then I mitigated almost as much damage as well. So I basically erased 2+ champions worth of damage and was one of the higher dps that round.

And the worse part was that I was super sloppy and missed on several key plays. I wasn't even that good.

I know Ziggs is at a similar position for win rate, but Sona feels worse.

Should champs with around 70% win rates and this strong be allowed in ARAM? or should they be deactivated?

A big part of the problem is how supports are balanced around having a reduced gold income on SR, but ARAM they don't have a reduced income.

You're absolutely right Ratpie and I think ARAM should also implement a banning system similar to that of summoners rift because I really want to hit Silver in Aram this season so I can unlock the border! Sona is too strong.

Sona should be removed from ARAM.

Same for Lux.

She should be allowed, ARAM is for fun, and I don't think Sona is any worse than say Brand Illaoi Heimerdinger Garen Fiddlesticks Janna Karthus Lux Teemo Zilean Veigar. I think it's just luck of the draw, and while Sona is strong, there are many other strong picks too.

This isn't ARURF though. ARAM is a gamemode that only cares about 2 things: Trying to make a team of random champions work, and forcing those teams to duke it out enough to win the game. There is nothing that ARAM provides that is any different than a normal game. In the URF gamemodes, it made sense to ban or remove certain champions because they were too easily abused in the circumstances of the gamemode itself (Kassadin, Hecarim, etc.) ARAM is a blender of random crap thrown together for the sake of being different and having RNG variety. Each champ and each comp has an equal chance of carrying or failing, depending on how the player uses them.

Maybe I am weird, but I do not see a 70% win rate as an equal chance of carrying.

I really wish they'd simply ban her from any mode aside of SR, she's been ruining nearly every single rotative mode, URF (ended up perma-banned in ARURF), Hexakill, Ascension...

Just remove her from ARAM, not fun being "outplayed" (more like my champion can do that and you can't lol i'm so skillz) by someone just clicking her keyboard, shielding her entire team for 300+ hp every 3 seconds, healing them, and dealing burst damage without even needing to aim stuff at

It's all about the composition. I've won and lost with and against Sona and ziggs. With Sona, if she runs to Q someone, you punish her with cc, and maybe whoever is playing her will think twice about doing it again. With Ziggs, you have to land your skill shots.

Yes, they should be allowed.
