Why do I have a higher win percent than the average Platinum player but I am still in Silver?

Your win percentage is against Silver players.
Their win percentage is against Platinum players.
I can assure you that if they were suddenly placed against Silver players, their win rate would skyrocket. Meanwhile, if you were suddenly placed against Platinum players your win rate would plummet.
The average plat player has like a 54 to 56 percent win ratio though. A factor you have to consider though is that plat players had a much higher winrate in the lower elo's which then begin tapering off when they start to approach their 'true' elo.
