I'm just saying. This item is broken. I've seen so many people (myself included) abuse this item, and for good reasons. It offers WAAAY too much split pushing and 1v1 potential. Especially on certain champs such as rengar and udyr. Please nerf this shit riot lmao
Because they removed SoS, and realized there was one less busted cancer items, so they just HAD to introduce Sanguine Blade.
I don't get how the balance team can be this fucking daft. It was clear to me from the start, that whoever can use this item even semi well, would instantly have a huge advantage over those who can't...
I one trick rengar, and let me tell you, sanguine blade on this champion is B R O K E N. Especially if you have conqueror and a ravenous hydra. The dps, wave clear, and sustain are just stupid as all hell.
If they want to enable split-pushing, they need to make mages with high utility not shut down every melee in the game 1v1.
Utility mages should have to pay SOMETHING for what they have: high damage, high utility, often high range, low CDs, further lowered by CDR...there should be a cost to what they offer.
I played against a Quinn and Nocturne top rushing this shit, wasn't very fun.
yea, that item is a massive mistake, paired with the xp increase, it just turns toplane into snowbally splitpush crap. There is no way to compete 1v1 vs sanguin blade, and your towers dropp faster than a minion wave vs that shit.
If they wanted to have an as option for splitpushing assasins, they should have returned the AS on ghostblades active. And if they want a lethality+sustain item, they should just rework deaths dance, cause that should be THE sustain for ad-casters...

I think the attack speed needs to be toned down a bit, but as an item im fine with it, as ad assassins fall off so hard that typically splitting is all they are left to do. So this gives them a little help.
:D If EVEN the players whose characters benefit from this item wants it nerfed, it really means its mega broken. Remember dark harvest's REWORK? This shit stayed like 1 week top coz everyone used it to multi proc :D
In my humble opinion, if they want a split pushing option for assassins they can simply add a lethality item that builds from the Tiamat. As for a lethality item that grants dueling potential, fuck that. Assassins weren't designed to be duelists, they were designed to pick off high priority targets, and even then people mainly just build it on dps top laners. Idk what riot was thinking when they introduced this item. That said, I'm really glad they hotfixed it, but regardless it's still way too gold efficient considering what it does.

Youmoos Ghostblade active also used to give attack speed until season 6 I believe. Just too strong of an active for certain champs, see Nocturne for example. But the numbers on Sanguine Blade are just nuts

if its stats offer too much build to make it irrelevant (its really easy to do too) the fact you're calling it broken, instead of a power spike item, is problematic.

I would of expected you to say tryndamere, and udyr. If rengar is building it, he's doing something wrong. An assassin shouldn't be building this. Considering you're reporting on it though - (you or your teammates) have screwed up far too much to make it a viable pick. Stop ;) Problem solved.
They'll probably cut its lifesteal down to 12%. It's way too volatile on an item like that.

Yeah it has a lot of 1v1 potential, but by the time you earn the 3000g to buy it. 1v1's shouldn't really be happening anymore. Or atleast not for much longer.
BotRK just seems like a better option if you want Damage, Lifesteal, Attack Speed, and burst damage on one item. NOT for 1v1 situations, but just in general.
It's an extremely over tuned item. At level 10 which is a reasonable time to attain it as a first buy you receive 70% attack speed ON TOP of the other stats it already provides. Honestly I think the strongest part isn't even the fact it wins you duels out right, but that you also wave clear/farm camps faster as well. It should either receive a significant stat hit especially to the attack speed, and/or reduce the number of situations it's allowed to be used in.
For the latter maybe something like "If an enemy champion is nearby, OR enemy tower, receive the increased attack speed." That fits it's purpose of making you a deadly dueler and more threatening than usual split push tower killer while not allowing it's stats to bleed over into other areas of the game it wasn't intended for... Like killing my camps or wave really dang fast.
I saw vayne build this and it is super broken, also on irelia it makes her DPS over the roof
People kept complaining about assasins, so rito made them even stronger, they're trolling us at this point. Game feels absolutely awful.
