Why arent YOU playing Karma?

Renewal snares for 3.25 seconds if both mantra and Focused Resolve are maxed are at max rank, and has a 90% ap ratio. That is longer than a Morgana Q, and its a target spell. At that rank, with 40% cool down reduction, Mantra only has a 21.6 second cool down. Her W hits 3 times over 2 seconds, so if you get the snare off you proc your passive 3 times, bringing it down to 10.6 seconds, if you throw in a Q-auto, you are down to 6.1 seconds left till your ult comes back up. with 40% cool down reduction, your W has a 7.2 second cool down, so it will be up around the same time as your ult. All this is assuming that you cast Renewal just after Mantra: if you preemptively cast mantra, and wait the maximum 8 seconds, Mantra comes up TWO SECONDS after you snare your target with renewal, allowing you to do a basic attack into a mantra Q, which if you hit the full thing (and you will, because your target is snared) has a 150% ap ratio.

I am NOT calling for karma nerfs.

But still.

Cmon guys.

Karma >Morgana

Oh, and the E. Defiance shield, with both maxed out, shields for 410+80% AP on the first guy, half that on the others, as well as hasting everyone.

Karma >Morgana in a different way

Nothing is better than the Black Shield, and Morgana has far better counterengage with her ult.

Not saying Karma is bad, but there are definitely reasons that Morg is more popular.

I want to agree with you, but need to point out one thing, the W needs time to apply the root, whereas if Morgana just hits you, it's done and she can move to something else. She's not forced to follow her up to make sure it finishes and open herself to counterattacks like Karma.

Karma has poke... and that's all.

so let me try to understand you... according to you, a snare that takes time to proc and that is easily broken before it can proc is better than a snare that procs the instant the skill hits you and a speed boost shield is better than a shield that stops pretty much all types of CC... sorry but how is Karma better than morg in any way?

Target spell snare with tons of damage>Slightly shorter skillshot root with moderate damage Morg E probably wasnt the best comparison, I am shit at analogies.

yes the target snare that you can actually walk away from breaking the tether so you stop taking damage and not be snared is better than the skillshot snare that has a stupid hitbox and whose effects are instantaneous. The closest thing you can even compare Karma's snare is with Morg's ult and that has the possibility of cc'ing multiple targets... Karma is a poke champion, you pick her because you want to poke the enemy not because she has a snare that more than likely is not going to work unless you put yourself in the face of the enemies

Tons of damage?

Morgana: 300 + 0.90 AP instantly, 11 second cooldown, 3 second root. Karma: 260 + 0.90 AP over 2 seconds, 12 second cooldown, 3.25 second root.

Seriously, Morgana's Q has one of the highest damages of any non-ultimate ability in the game. Very little competes with that.

Karma: 260+.9 ap, which sets up mantra Q, 1.5 ap

Morg Q is still great though, esp counterengage
