Champion Shards & Champion Permanents

I'm just curious, but why did Riot remove the option to re-roll our Champion Shards? I ask because I have a bunch of Champion shards for Champions I either don't play often, don't play at all, or just don't play well enough to gain S grades to get Mastery Levels 6-7. With that being said, the option to re-roll them was perfect for me. So, yeah, just curious why the option was removed?

Disenchant them for some quick BE then.

Because you're getting champions at a discount rate now and are able to use the be for other champions , you're also likely to get champions you own so being able to reroll then to get a perma champ wouldn't be logical for riot to do.
