Rework Ashe Build, the new on-hit adc

UberAffe··2 votes·2,719 views

My recommended build path item 3153 item 3006 item 3085 as your first core items if they have alot of armor and there is at least one other person with ad on your team then build item 3071 before runaans then item 3031 and item 3072 in either order. If you didnt need the Black cleaver then finish with item 3078

Reasoning for this build(I have used in pbe against people): runaans will fully stack your focus passive in two shots every bolt of runaans will apply both BOTRK and Black Cleaver passives When you use your q with max stacks all 5 shots proc runaans that is 3 targets who you have now dealt around 35% current health to in a single auto( armor not taken into account) and because of what you have built you have around 2.3 attack speed once your q is active that means in 1 second with your q active you will deal about 57% of their current health(ignoring armor) and that is just from the BOTRK passive, this hasn't taken into account your regular damage or any pen you have.

You don't have to like on-hit builds for an adc but you cannot deny that this build will do a lot of damage very fast.

Other benefits of BlackCleaver/Trinity: both give the rage passive which means you have increased movement speed while you also slow down your target, talk about kite.

During the flurry attack, Ashe will Crit (from her passive) and Lifesteal, but will only apply on-hit effects like BotRK and Braum passive on the first arrow of each flurry attack

As of now, Ashe does proc multiple Runaan's with flurry attacks, but it looks like she won't be able to do BotRK.

her Furry attack only works once for each attack. but Each bolt from Runaan's applies on hit effects. It works well with Runann's.

Right, but then it gets finicky. Not attacking your main target and all.

Not even that.

During Q, it is NOT the case that every bolt applies on-hit effects:

I'm having trouble finding it but I'm pretty sure it was the same Rioter who said that ashe can fully stack Black Cleaver in two autos because of her q, so I'm not sure why BotRK wouldn't work.

I'll update if I can find it. Found it: http://boards.pbe.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/champions-gameplay-feedback/6BBcWPLy-ashe-update-feedback-thread?comment=000400000000 that is a link to his comment, his comment is specific to Black Cleaver but both are on-hit

It's in the same thread I pulled that quote from.

Focus-empowered Q attacks are 5 arrows per attack. Each arrow applies Black Cleaver, so yeah, she can put 5 stacks of Black Cleaver on per AA while it is active.

That's because BC is on physical damage not on hit.

Black Cleaver is not on hit. Black Cleaver activates on any instance of physical damage. Ashe's Q autoattacks do 5 instances of physical damage, but they still only count once for on-hit effects.

item 3153 item 3085 item 3006 item 3031 item 3071 and maybe item 3046 or item 3087

I think that is the best build on her, I need to know what is the amount of atk spd that she reachs with that built.

Svddenly1 votes

I'd go with item 3087 over item 3046 because flurry would let you get multiple procs of it quickly.

Me too

Statikk shiv would be better than phantom dancer since with her q active its passive will be applied on every aa.

Venowolf1 votes

With Runnan Hurricane she launch 10 arrows by flurry atack so can be work well, the problem is if she reach the 2.5 at spd cap.

LongHair Fox1 votes

IIRC she currently needs 230% attack speed from runes and masteries for her to reach the cap. This will be increased by about 10% due to a decrease in gain per level. To further alleviate this problem I would probably go lucidity boots for extra q uptime together with cdr masteries. This should take her well below the cap and I doubt she will reach more than 2.2 attack speed (which still is very much).

Venowolf1 votes

The 20% of CD on BV + Lucidity + 5%cd masterie = 40%cd

LongHair Fox1 votes

That was the plan yeah. still a 6.8 sec downtime for every 4 sec uptime though. It is likely highly cheesy and would only be good in very few situations. Honestly the "normal" build with BC instead of last whisper is likely the most solid build.

Yeah Black Cleaver is a good item on her, also more cs is more ECA too

well with my build and 5.4% attack speed from runes, the 4% from mastery and her q active I hit 2.3 (this was with BC not Trinity) PD is really nice early on for her but I would not get both runaans and pd, you overbuild attackspeed a bit and I haven't done the math but I think the 80 AD * current crit chance is greater than current ad times 20%

Given the first 5 items I would recommend BT over PD if you want PD I would remove runaans and get BT or Trinity

Venowolf1 votes

I never took away Runnan, if the best item to stack Q on her, and I ask about the atk spd, because I feel that PD can be overpass the 2.5 AS cap limit, so if u say without PD she reack nearly 2.3 AS the PD is not a worth item at all, maybe a Mecurial Scitar, BT, or the underrated ES can work better on her in this case.

on hit build will be garbage for one most likely someone else will have black cleaver on your team as bruisers seem to be making a come back so you having it means you will have 40 less damage also who cares about ignoring 30% armor when LW ignores 35% armor? from an ADC standpoint you should not be building much utility for your team it should be the other way around going black cleaver would make you weak in the late game.

you have too much attack speed it would be better if you did more damage instead of trying to proc you passive faster because technically when the passive is up attack speed would mean nothing you would want more raw damage. I agree with BotRk maybe after IE and boots

I just feel you need more damage in the build less attack speed the built in AS and stack+boots+BotRk should be more than enough its not likely you will be able to build focus more than twice in a team fight if it lasts an extremely long time so going attack speed really isn't ideal there either.

Hurricane is good only if they are group otherwise its just a waste of and could be more useful as another AD item

what 40 less are you talking about? BC and LW have the same AD. The loss in "armor pen" is only 5% and you gain movement speed on every auto along with 400 health and 20% cdr. I think those 3 things make the 5% loss worth it.

you have too much attack speed it would be better if you did more damage instead of trying to proc you passive faster because technically when the passive is up attack speed would mean nothing you would want more raw damage. I agree with BotRk maybe after IE and boots

The reason for building this much attack speed is for her q active not for her passive, her q active gives an additional 35% damage on top of her regular passive and also splits into 5 with all 5 parts procing Runaans. What makes this more attractive than it would normally be is that the runaan bolts are procing Botrk passive. I recently learned that the main target will only receive a single Botrk proc per auto instead of 5.

Aside from that Runaans is starting to be considered core on her even for other build paths because of how well it synergizes with her q, Botrk, BC, and Static Shiv. Static Shiv procs on every auto with her q active.

I just feel you need more damage in the build less attack speed the built in AS and stack+boots+BotRk should be more than enough its not likely you will be able to build focus more than twice in a team fight if it lasts an extremely long time so going attack speed really isn't ideal there either.

The build still has BT and IE and I may not have made it clear enough in my post but they would be built 4 if you don't need the BC for that team.

Any fight that lasts longer than 10 seconds can make use of her q active twice. Personally, I see a lot of fights that split for a 4-5 seconds and re-engage, which means you get to use the q at the start of the fight and the end of the fight.

On top of that it also allows you to make better use of your q active.

Hurricane is good only if they are group otherwise its just a waste of and could be more useful as another AD item

Since you can lifesteal off of the Botrk passive now if there is even a minion wave next to your target the bonus lifesteal you get could easily turn a fight.

Personally I think her q is better to make your build around than her passive. But I also just like how she turns into a machine gun.
