So, it has been added to the champion update list that Warwick is going to be after Yorick, and most probably still this year. I also noted that the one in charge is CertainlyT , who while does come up with VERY AWESOME champion ideas and themesm kinda lacks in the balace department and is quite good at making unfun champions to play against. So I decided to make this post to talk about what I belive makes WW tick and what I hope stays and what goes. Please people take 2 things in mind 1) This is my opinion and 2) I am far from a WW main, I just play him once in a while. Any who , here goes nothing ...

What I hope stays :

  1. SIMPLE KIT : If I could ask for anything on this list to be true, this would be what I would ask for. Warwick is a easy champion to play and also does not have massive counterplay problems(Unless a stupidly OP item comes out). He was the third jungler I picked up to play and has always had this "First Time Jungler" vibe about him. This doesn´t mean that he has to be super face-roll, but I hope he also doens´t take a fucking PhD to play well with
  2. Massive Sustain: This helps one out a lot. The reason why Warwick is a good jungler for who is still learning to jungle is due to his massive sustain. It´s kinda hard to fuck up a jungle clear as Warwick , even if you are just starting it out in the jungle
  3. Be a On hit/Tank Hybrid : I consider this to be a core , as far as to who Warwick is. Him building 2 Atack Speed or On Hit items , to then go full tank, a lot like Shy.

What I hope Riot looks into :

  1. Him being kinda lame other then his ulti : Ok, let me explain. Other then the massive lockdown his ulti provides , there is not really any other reason to pick him over another jungler. After he ultis, his usefulness drops , especially in team fights.
  2. No hard CC (Other then Ulti) and no gap closers(other then ulti) : Warwick needs his ulti to gank , unless someone on his team has a massive lockdown potential. Trying to gank as Warwick , if I have no ulti is kinda hard to pull off. You have to hope that they are below a certain percentage of health so your E can be usefull and try to chase them down.
  3. He doesn´t really fit his fantasy : He is a Werewolf, but it does not feel like one when you play him. I know that it is kinda stupid, but Riot is taking that into consideration now, so you might as well help the Werewolf to feel more like a Werewolf

I know that I probably forgot a bunch of things, again I am no WW main, so I hope that you can help me out, and maybe make this post popular enough for CertainlyT or someone else that works for Rito to read it, and while they may not answer us, they might take something into consideration.

Warwick is not a werewolf. His lore does not indicate any ability to transform back into his human state. He seeks the blood of Soraka to stabilize the transformation, but that is to prevent his loss of humanity. It does not ever indicate an ability to transform into a human.

Warwick was a cunning kidnapper in Zaun. For some reason, he decided he needed to enhance his physical prowess to continue in his line of work. This could indicate that he was not a very strong man and had experienced too many close calls due to his physical limitations. He certainly is resourceful, as he successfully extracted one of the potion's components from the Shadow Isles. But I find the whole interaction with Soraka more believable if his appearance gave off an impression of weakness. It may have even been a strong factor in how successful he was at deceiving prospects for test subjects.

Of course his kit revolves around the body Warwick possesses after Singed's potion. In this avenue, Riot should probably think along the same lines of what they did for Sion. You want to create a champion that is steadily descending into a state of primal bloodlust. His current passive, Q and R all seem to agree with this ideal of capture and feed. Even his W and E fit thematically with an animal seeking out prey and killing quickly.

Unfortunately, I'm not seeing any semblance of the cunning Warwick. His current kit feels like it is the end result of his madness instead of the transitional stage we should be getting. I feel like he should have some sort of strategical ability like a trap or skill that causes a slow or blind. It shouldn't all be about brute force.
