What I (and probably a lot of people) Want in the New Client
It's mid season, tanks are being reworked, lee sin and graves are still all the hype, ADs are still useless, yah dee yah dah... I'm going to talk about clients.
Really, it's pretty simple, I'm sure Rito already knows what they should deliver around Beta.
1.) Less bugs in the Champ Select to Gameplay transition. Cmon, it's been an issue for a while now, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to completely dedicate a couple of days to work on the client.
2.) Item Sets Pretty sure there were people wanting it the moment the new client was released, yet to deliver. (Although I think a Rioter commented way back about focusing on other things about the client.)
3.) Potato-computer(or at this point, 2010 computers) Compatibility HOLD ON RIOTERS, I know, low-spec mode exists. But it still doesn't change the fact that the client takes more RAM than the game, which makes me very sad. (Even with low-spec) Having the client on during a game legitimately leads to a decrease of around 10-15 FPS (I have round 73-78 average without client on.)
4.) The absurdly long time it takes to load after game screens. (Is it because of all the new stats? ) Not sure if it's just me, but even with the client on in the back ground, it takes around 45 seconds. Turning it off (Which improves FPS) would make the after game screen take around 2 minutes to load, not kidding.
5.) Just a small suggestion Can you make it so whenever someone declines a matchmake request, the request for everyone immediately ends? (I know, I'm impatient af.)
These are just a couple of my complaints, I'm sure the community has a lot more they expect to see from the new client. But I think that every player can agree on one point: We want practicality, not quirky.
The new E-sports, Rune Page, Drag-&-Drop Friend List Invite, New champs tab, Patch notes button, etc, etc ARE AWESOME. Don't get me wrong. But I really want a more sustainable RAM and a reliable client, and I'm sure that's what many wants as well.
