Gold in solo but Bronze in flex

I have no bloody idea how i can get gold in Solo queue but man, Flex i can't even get out of bronze.
Granted i'm solo queueing in flex but christ, the level of toxicity is Mind boggling.

Feeding is on a all time high, refusal to even try to build a decent comp, the auto [zombie-brand-mindblown] fill trolling is just cray cray, and the QQ'ing just jut non stop. i mean literally i sit here and show my discord plat and diamond friends the screen shots of end game stats and they simply laugh at these captures and the only feed back i get is " at least you didn't feed" or " See we told you to lvl up in flex at the start but you didn't listen"

now its just ugh.. i was bronze 1 in promotions at the start of flex when i worked up from bronze 5 - bronze 1 in a week. Then 3 weeks ago i started playing flex again like ok i can eat through bronze and silver and get to gold no problem. now i'm bronze 4 and just mind boggled at the behavior of some of these people in flex.

There is absolutely no difference between gold and bronze. Only difference is that you won a couple more matches on your placements than others did. The players are all the same. Plat isn't much better.

I'm roughly silver 3 in both solo and flex. I'm not a leader though; I go with whatever the team is doing. So if I'm in with a group of 3 who's coordinated and leading, I do just fine.

Same for me. Gold in solo and bronze flex. I have one friend who is the other way around she only plays with a group so shes silver 5 in solo and gold in flex. I've been told the end year will take both in account on what border you get. Which scares me. Because like you said flex is a nightmare. I love playing solo also gives me a reason to not hang with friends on league. lol Love my friends but sometimes I get tired of them and so I just say I'm doing ranked. Flex though... If you solo in flex it is a battleground on so many levels. You have to be either super mellow and not get upset or start of game mute all. If one person dislikes you, the rest of their friends dislike you. Few days ago my teams comp was awful and no ap. So I went support brand. but my adc wanted a ardent support. Because I did not go the support my adc wanted. All game was report brand in all chat pinging question marks on me. When I would go into a fight in bot my adc would still farm. Then I'd get a kill and the mid laner in all chat "report brand took adc kills." I didn't say anything all game reported all of them and said never again will I solo flex. Lol
