So I know you're supposed to max Q first but what goes next? I see people maxing W sometimes and other times E, obviously take E max second if it's a Teemo or something but is there ever another situation where you max E? I max E second but i'm not sure it's the right call, anyone got tips on when to max what or what's generally better?
Q > E > W every time, specially since you are not experienced.
Only ever think about not maxing W last after you've played 300+ riven games, and even then its extremely situational because even when winning her E gains a lot more with ranks than her W does.
As far as I'm aware, Q-E-W is the default for most people. The only person I see Q-W-E most games is boxbox.

I tend to always max Q first. Its her most useful skill in almost every way.
What you max second is based on whenever or not you are playing offensively or defensively. I usually go with W for offence and E for defense, in that respect. W will allow you to deal more damage and stun more often, but E will allow you to block/dodge/run away from most threats that are giving you a hard time.
It also comes down to personal preference and matchups. If I'm confident in a lvl 2 kill or my opponent likes to all in rather than poke, I'm taking W second.

I think I heard somewhere that Boxbox never maxes Q first

U max E first if you against like poke.
U max Q for cosistent damage.
I dont think u should max W second unless u want more aoe or a longer stun
